Most of what Rob Liefeld has to say about the upcoming production on "Deadpool" is already known. But the updates on "Youngblood" seem few and far between. So as I was reading his tweets I decided to share a lot of his discussions and statements with everyone. Enjoy.
First let's start with Youngblood
Yes, Brett Ratner is on Youngblood film! Things are moving fast...
After my first meeting with @BrettRatner, I knew he was the guy to make Youngblood. He has a great vision for the film
And for all the sturm and drang, X3 is the biggest moneymaker of the entire franchise. If Youngblood makes $450 million, I'll kiss him.
Script is being written now. Did I mention Brett wants to shoot Youngbood in 3D tech like Avatar. Talked of it 3 months ago.
Now that every movie is going 3D, Youngblood won't be alone as 3D super heroes, but the bad will be weeded out by then.
Ratner had me when he told me he wanted to go all "Legolas" on Shaft! ...I'm in!
I don't think Youngblood will make a ton of money without it being an entertaining film first. Starts with script.
Next onto Deadpool
Yes, I know who the villains in the Deadpool movie are. No, I cannot tell you. Sorry.
So back to Deadpool and those writers from Zombieland...how freakin' great is that! My wife LOVED Zombieland and that's no easy feat!
The Zombieland writers have the perfect balance of humor and action. Smart writers, great leading man in Reynolds, Deadpool will rock.
