Zack Snyder Updates the 300 Sequel

And what has Frank Miller been doing all this time?

While doing promotion for the upcoming "Watchmen" and "300: Complete Experience" DVD and Blu-ray release, Zack Snyder spoke about the potential follow up to his 2007 Spartan Masterpiece.

"I know for a fact that Frank Miller is writing right now. He's drawing away and seems to be knee-deep in it. I think he's going to head back to Greece again and do another reconnaissance." Snyder states.

Zack Snyder does not expect much to change in the sequel from the first film in regards to the sequels production so the budget wont get out of hand "I think we would use the same technology... I don't want it to look too Star Wars-ian... Just from what Miller told me, it would be bigger as far as landscape and terrain."

Snyder goes on to say "We're going to see Athens and the Aegean and other places. There would be an opportunity for bigger visions, though I'd hope for the same aesthetic. The tech we used for '300' was not a revolution. It's basically what the weatherman has."

@Bee76
Miller already confirmed that it won't be a sequel. It will probably pick up at Plataea and show the rest of the Greco-Persian war. It would have been better if they could have done the movie with the Athenian Naval battle that was taking place during the battle of Thermoplyae, but they already erased that from history in the first one.

Also with Leonidas and the others dead, Dillios is most likely going to be the main character. I mean he's cool and all, but he's no Leonidas.

....and Arby's is delicious.

Sirprize- Goddamn dude, i really though she had a chance.

Teabag- yes... arby's. I already know what's so delicious about my crack.

InstigatorGIRL- I highly doubt that the Persian Army would have been dumb enough to attack Chuck Norris. They were confident, not stupid.

ElBeaster- I don't know where there could be one near where i live. I just see the damn commercial every damn time i open the tube... and i don't even have cable!!!

The naval battle happened at the same time as the Spartan last stand, which is why it is included in the "Battle of Thermplyaea". They could still have it, but they would have to completely rewrite history. But they did that a lot in the first one, so it wouldn't really matter. Then they could just have Thermistocles and make him a badass.

El Beaster @ Following Thermopylae, the Persian army proceeded to burn and sack the Boeotian cities which had not submitted to the Persians, Plataea and Thespiae; before marching on the now evacuated city of Athens.[103] Meanwhile, the Allies (for the most part Peloponnesian) prepared to defend the Isthmus of Corinth, demolishing the single road that led through it, and building a wall across it.[104] As at Thermopylae, to make this an effective strategy required the Allied navy to stage a simultaneous blockade, barring the passage of the Persian navy across the Saronic Gulf, so that troops could not be landed directly on the Peloponnese.[105] However, instead of a mere blockade, Themistocles persuaded the Allies to seek a decisive victory against the Persian fleet. Luring the Persian navy into the Straits of Salamis, the Allied fleet was able to destroy much of the Persian fleet in the Battle of Salamis, which essentially ended the threat to the Peloponnese.[106]

Sorry dude i was right ... ;-)... Shit i should have been right i am greek i should know
