The first trailer for Elizabeth Banks' new take on Charlie's Angels (which will actually serve as a follow-up to the previous movies and the classic TV series) was released yesterday, and Sony has followed it up with a pair of new posters featuring the action adventure's three leads.

This new trio of ass-kicking heroines consists of Naoimi Scott (Aladdin, Power Rangers), Ella Balinska (A Modern Tale) and Kristen Stewart (Twilight, Snow White and The Huntsman), who will play Elena Houghlin, Jane Kano and Sabina Wilson, respectively.

You'll find more on each character below by clicking the "view list" button, where you can also check out 7 images from the film.

Charlie's Angels is set to hit theaters on November 15.

The New Team

Director Elizabeth Banks, pictured here with her new trio of ass-kicking heroines.

“It was important to me to make a movie about women working together and supporting each other, and not make a movie about their romantic entanglements or their mother they don’t call enough,” says the actress-turned filmmaker. “When I’m at work, I don’t talk about those things. I get on with my job. It felt important to do that for the Angels, to treat them with the respect their skill set demands.”

Sabina Undercover

Stewart's character is named Sabina Wilson, and is described as "the hard-partying, highly skilled wild card" of the team.

Here, she goes undercover at a Turkish derby, where the team has been tailing a target until “chaos ensues."

Jane and Langston

Ella Balinska plays Jane Kano, the "ex-MI6 muscle of the group."

She's pictured here with a mysterious character named Langston, who will be played by To All the Boys I've Loved Before actor - and quite possibly our new He-Man - Noah Centineo.

Elena

Aladdin’s Naomi Scott plays Elena Houghlin, an "MIT-trained scientist who serves as the heart of the movie.”

“I wanted somebody who I felt the audience wants to root for,” Banks says of casting her Power Rangers co-star in the pivotal role. “She’s getting to be this Everywoman who’s also very fun and very funny.”

Elizabeth Banks On Set

Though this isn't Elizabeth Banks' first big gig behind the camera (she also helmed Pitch Perfect 2), it is the first Charlie's Angels installment to be directed by a woman.

"It’s a really exciting moment for female-driven films,” she says, citing Wonder Woman and Captain Marvel as recent examples of box-office successes. “Audiences are really looking for those aspirational stories about real and relatable characters, and I think the women in my movie are definitely real and relatable, but most importantly, I think they’re really fun.”

Angels Assemble

Sabina Wilson (Stewart), Jane Kano (Balinska) and Elena Houghlin (Scott) suit-up for action.

Sabina And Bosley

In addition to directing, Banks will also play Bosley... although she won't be the only character with that name.

“‘Bosley’ is now a rank in the organization, like lieutenants,” she says. “All of the Angels have been played by different women and have had different names, but the Bosley character was always named Bosley no matter who played him. We thought, ‘Well, that must mean it’s more than a name.’”

The way Elizabeth Banks' name is so emphasized on these posters turns me off

Elizabeth Banks: "Make sure people know just how involved I am with this film. Don't forget to mention my name."

@NightwingNad - I thought it was also stated a while back there would be multiple Bosleys in this movie. As in both men and women Bosleys. Might be wrong.

I don’t think this thing will be a huge hit.
It’ll probably do ok.
Maybe “Ocean’s 8” type of box office.

I cannot get behind this casting...I would have selected...

Olivia Munn

Melanie Liburd

Amber Heard

Christoph Waltz as Bosley

The current cast is not that appealing.

I would rather take this cast & director and make a similar movie but not call it Charlie’s Angels. I would be way more interested in a new IP than seeing another unnecessary Hollywood reboot.

They should have gender swapped this ala Ghostbusters and had three men who were constantly leered at and referred to by a old woman voice from a box as "good morning angels."

Is Elizabeth Banks involved with this?

They're half-decent posters! The black one looks a bit weird with Balinska striking an action pose while Stewart and Scott just blankly stare forward. It did not need to say it's directed by Banks twice in the same poster. 🤦🏼‍♂️ I get not including Scott in the bump in the white one, given she's the rookie, but it makes her look like the odd one out in it, like she isn't part of the trio.

Definite pass on this. I'll catch it on TV. Never could get behind the franchise. I've watched full episodes of the classic Angles recently (the show was way before my time) and I haven't seen the movies in years. I grew up on some these fine wannabes instead:
