Better late than never, right? After an extremely busy week that saw us cross paths with some of the biggest names in Hollywood, Lionsgate closed out the show with a very cool slate that included promising titles such as Robin Hood, Uncle Drew, The Spy Who Dumped Me, Blindspotting, A Simple Favor, and more.

The Kingkiller Chronicle

Lionsgate got the ball rolling by announcing that Sam Raimi, director of the original Spider-Man trilogy, is set to helm the first installment in the studio's next franchise: The Kingkiller Chronicle. Lin-Manuel Miranda, whose past accolades include a Pulitzer Prize, three Grammy Awards, an Emmy Award, a MacArthur Fellowship, and three Tony Awards is also onboard as a producer.

A production start date wasn't given, but the story follows adventurer and musician Kvothe, a man who survives a tragic childhood to become a notorious household name.

Uncle Drew

Lil Rel Howery, who was also hosting the presentatino, took the stage next to debut an extended look and a much funnier new theatrical trailer for his upcoming basketball comedy, Uncle Drew, which stars Boston Celtics all-star Kyrie Irving in the title role. While none of the cast was present due to NBA Playoffs-related commitments, Howery did share a few funny stories from his time on-set, including his experience working with Kyrie the day he was traded from Cleveland to Boston.

In addition to Irving and Howery, the comedy also stars Shaquille O'Neal, Reggie Miller, Chris Webber, Nate Robinson, Lisa Leslie, Nick Kroll, Erica Ash, Tiffany Haddish, JB Smoove, Mike Epps, and Aaron Gordon. Look for it theaters on June 29 and be sure to watch the new theatrical trailer above.

Blindspotting

Daveed Diggs and Rafael Casal were the next guests onstage, debuting an intense new trailer for their upcoming drama Blindspotting. The film follows two childhood friends, convicted felon Collin (Diggs) and troublemaker Miles (Casal), through the last three days of Collin's year-long probation. These last three days prove to be especially tough for Collin as he begins to realize that Miles' presence in his life may land him back in prison.

In addition to the trailer, Diggs and Casal also shared a haunting poem they had written, which you can watch in full HERE.

The Spy Who Dumped Me

Lionsgate was gracious enough to allow us to attend their red carpet where we got to chat with both Mila Kunis and Kate McKinnon, the lovely stars of the upcoming summer action/comedy The Spy Who Dumped Me.

Following the intense presentation from Blindspotting, Lionsgate brought out Kunis and McKinnon to lighten the mood with a funny routine where Kunis described their film while McKinnon acted out the descriptions in hilarious fashion. They then shared a new theatrical trailer for their upcoming August comedy, which featured plenty of hysterical new moments as Kunis and McKinnon find themselves in the adventure of a lifetime.

The new trailer hasn't made its way online just yet, but expect it sooner than later, especially considering the film is due out in August.

Kin

The next film on the docket was Kin, a film about two brothers that are forced to go on the run and must defend themselves by using a mysterious weapon of seemingly alien origin. The trailer was immediately released online after their presentation, so if you missed it, watch it above.

Myles Truitt and Jack Reynor star as the two brothers with a supporting cast that includes Zoe Kravitz, Dennis Quaid, Carrie Coon, and James Franco as the crime lord villain that's hunting them down.

Hell Fest

Lionsgate then launched the first horrifying trailer for Hell Fest, which follows a group of unsuspecting teenagers (college students?) that find themselves in for the night of their lives when they enter a haunted house that features a real-life killer hidden within. The trailer features most of your classic horror beats as the group doesn't realize at first that the murders are real, but then when they do, it may be a little too late.

The movie is due out on October 12, so expect a trailer sometime this summer.

A Simple Favor

While Ryan Reynolds wasn't present, we did get a few moments to chat with his better half, Blake Lively during the Lionsgate red carpet before the presentatin, which was pretty pretty pretty cool.

Lively took the stage alongside co-star Anna Kendrick and director Paul Feig to debut a first look at A Simple Favor. They kickstarted their presentation with Lively (who doesn't drink) and Kendrick teaching the crowd how to mix the perfect drink and ends with Feig taking a sip and dropping "dead." He fully commits to the bit too and is later carried out by CinemaCon staff before the trailer plays.

The trailer, which you can now view above, was definitely not what I was expecting and looks unlike anything Feig has ever done before, digging deep into the thriller territory as Lively's character haunts Kendrick's and sends her on an intriguing mystery.

Hunter Killer

Gerard Butler sent in a pre-recorded message to preview his upcoming action/thriller Hunter Killer, which is based on the 2012 novel Firing Point. Butler previews the movie by describing it as the next great submarine movie, a really smart movie that will keep the audiences guessing from start-to-finish.

In addition to Butler, the cast also features Academy Award-winner Gary Oldman, Common, Toby Stephens, Linda Cardellini, Michael Trucco, Ryan McPartlin, and the late Michael Nyqvist in his final film role.

Robin Hood

Robin Hood was the studio's big-ticket item as they brought out both Jamie Foxx and Taron Egerton to debut the first official trailer for the upcoming action film. The trailer has since been released online, but at first glance, I found myself thoroughly impressed as Egerton's Hood looks and feels a lot like what you'd expect from a Green Arrow movie set in medieval times.

After wrapping up the final presentation of the convention, we got a chance to join Jamie Foxx's entourage as we walked out of Caesar's Palace and also got to chat with Taron Egerton for a bit, which was a pretty sweet way to end a busy week.

Until the article gets made, I'll just post this. Apparently, there are some lines even Michael Bay will still cross.

Sam the freaking Raimi is doing adaption of Kingkiller chronicles!?!?

Those books are awesome! They better not mess this one up!
Interesting to see how it's going to be adapted, because after reading Name of the Wind and Wise Man's Fear, I have sort of considered them unadaptable.
