Ok first I'll start off with what many of you are wondering, no I did not see a new trailer for 'Captain America: The First Avenger', the trailers I saw were 'Battle: LA', 'Hobo With A Shotgun', 'Fast Five', and ' X-Men: First Class', no Captain just yet.

Now that we have that out of the way, onto the good and bad stuff.
Starting out the movie doesn't disappoint, we get right into the action immediately and the film wastes literally no time getting into the back story of Nic Cage's character Milton. In fact we never really get into it very much, there's a few lines of dialogue of him explaining it, and a short flash back scene of his daughter and that's about it. He's a man on a mission and the movie basically leaves it at that.

The 3D in my opinion wasn't fantastic at all, it had some neat parts, and other parts that just seemed way too forced and overall it didn't seem that well done, in my opinion, the 3D for 'The Green Hornet' was 10X better then the 3D for this movie. I'm a little biased in my opinion though because for the most part, I'd rather see a movie in 2D then in 3D.

Nicholas Cage plays his character fairly well, he plays him the same way he plays most of his characters and in fact, his role in this film as Milton, reminded me a lot of his character in 'Con-Air' (One of his best movies). The character itself was written with a lot of bad one liners that all good action heroes are supposed to have and frankly I enjoyed it, the whole movie had a grindhouse feel to it and Nic's role just added to that even more. The most distracting part of Milton was his hair, noT Miltons hair style, because it's not his, it's Nic Cage's hair, it's just so odd looking, something about it always distracts me when I see Nic on screen and not in a good oh my gosh look at his beautiful hair kind of way, it's more of a what the hell is his hair doing kind of way.

Which brings me to the beautiful and stunning Amber Heard who stars as Piper, a small town southern girl who wont think twice about telling you to [frick] off and then breaking your nose. What can I say about Amber that most of you already don't know, she's an amazing actress and she shows it extremely well in this movie, she was one of the highlights of the movie for me and not just because she was in cowboy boots and short shorts the entire time and behind the wheel of a '69 Charger R/T.

William Fichtner is The Accountant. Definitely one of my favorite William Fichtner roles, if not my very favorite. One scene where our lead characters Milton and Piper are trapped between two baracades of cops with no way out when all of a sudden all we hear is the song "That's The Way I Like It" blaring loud from a stereo and then The Accountant ramps a huge tanker trunk over a hill with the song playing in the cab and runs directly into the baracade. His role was written with a lot of comedic lines, not so comedic that it ruins the overall tone of the movie, but in the sense of I don't give a [frick] you're a moron type of comedy and I don't think anyone could have delivered the lines better then Fichntner.

I went in to this movie with my expectations set very low, I didn't think I would even be able to sit through the whole thing and frankly I didn't want to go but my girlfriend and a few other friends dragged me into it and I must say I was pleasantly impressed. Not 10 minutes into the movie I realized things were looking up for this movie. The plot was simple, not a whole lot to it and not a lot of time spent explaining it, and it's a plot that doesn't need explaining, a man wants revenge, kills guys, drives fast and blows crap up all while travelling with a gorgeous blonde inside a classic muscle car. There were parts in the movie where I was extremely impressed, and other scenes that had me thinking "What hell were they thinking?", one scene in particular at almost the very end, I wont spoil it but for any of you who go see this movie, once you see the scene at the end you'll know exactly which one I'm talking about.

This all brings me to my last and favorite part about this movie; the cars. I'm extremely biased when it comes to this subject because I grew up around muscle cars, fixing them with my grandfather and father, learning as many details about as many makes and models as I could and how they run and how to tear them apart and build them back up, so naturally I'm going to love the cars.
First up is the first car we see Milton driving at the very start of the movie, a '64 Riviera, normally not my favorite type of car but this one looked stunning, and it's a shame we only get to see it for maybe 4 minutes of screen time total, but a beautiful car anyhow.

Then we have the beautiful outstanding, king of all muscle cars, the '69 Charger R/T which we find out in the movie is packing a huge 440 for an engine with an automatic transmission and American Racing Vector rims which I immediately recognized as the identical rims used on Bo and Luke Duke's '69 Charger in 'Dukes of Hazzard'.

Next up is the '71 Chevelle SS. An amazing car, I've always been a huge Chevelle fan and I love them from '66 all the way up to '71, there's nothing about these cars that ever disappoints, my buddy has a '66 Chevelle that makes me drool every time I see it, and the Chevelle in this movie had the exact same affect.

Lastly there's the '69 Camaro SS, I believe that's what it was, we never get a really good clear look at the car but judging by the headlights and front grill and baby blue and white stripe Yenko looking color scheme, I'd say that's what it was. Like I said, we don't get to see much of it in the film but these are absolutely beautiful and gorgeous cars, if you've never seen one, I suggest you get on Google immediately.

And yes I did notice the '56 or '57 Chevy at the end but I wont go into detail about it because the other 3 were my favorites.
