Could James Bond 23 Still Happen?

@Overcross: I think that's a good idea. The mystery at the end of quantum being solved, along with the bad ass theme combined would be a good movie. I just think that they need to bring closure to the "Quantum society", though. It would be a huge plot hole.

I hope so, I love the Bond movies. I remember Daniel saying they were hoping to do a third movie that would include the introductions of Q and Miss Moneypenny, this would be a great idea. Of course with Q, it means gadgets return which is awesome, but this time in keeping with the more realistic movies, they should have more realistic gadgets.

I would also love to see a sense of scale and amazing stunts return to the James Bond movies. We had a bit of it in Casino Royale with the crane fight, but I want to see the return of the things such as James skiing of the side of a cliff and opening his parachute and stuff like that, like the old movies had. This is what set James Bond apart from other franchises and made it so long lasting

And also after this third movie, I would love to see the original 12 books being adapted into movies again (minus Cssino Royale of course), they could be updated for modern day like Casino Royale but with as much of the original plot kept intact. And I know you will say that they made the original movies from the books, but they were mostly combined plots from different books with a big change from the original plot such as Moonraker. Maybe they could keep more to the original story this time around. And they could just replace, SMERSH and Spectre with Quantum.

This would also be a good idea because the movies that at least took ideas from the books were better than the movies that were orignal ideas such as Brosnan's movies which sometimes went a little over the top (even though I love Brosnan as Bond)

You are damn right, why did they get rid of Campbell. Casino Royale was superb. Hopefully maybe he could come back after Sam Mendes or if Sam Mendes drops out in the meantime. I wouldnt mind if Campbell just spent the net few years directing Green Lantern movies and James Bond movies one after the other
