WWE Superstar Roman Reigns Has Joined The Cast Of HOBBS & SHAW Opposite Dwayne Johnson
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has taken to Instagram to confirm that his cousin Roman Reigns has joined the cast of Fast & Furious spinoff Hobbs & Shaw. Find out who he's going to be playing after the jump...
Hobbs & Shaw will be the first Fast & Furious spinoff movie, and it's set to put the spotlight on Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's breakout character Agent Luke Hobbs as he teams up with Jason Statham's formerly villainous Deckard Shaw.
The two have a great deal of chemistry on screen so pairing them up makes perfect sense, and it's now been revealed that WWE Superstar Roman Reigns has landed a role in the movie as Hobbs' brother. As you may already know, the former Universal Champion is currently battling leukaemia and has been forced to take an extended leave of absence from WWE as a result.
He's clearly doing well with his fight against cancer if he's well enough to shoot a role for what will actually be his big screen debut.
Reigns and Johnson are actually real-life cousins so it's easy to see why they've been cast as brothers in Hobbs & Shaw. Check out The Rock's full statement below and stay tuned for updates.
