Based on the BOOM! Studios comic book by Steven Grant and Mat Santolouco, 2 Guns will see Denzel Washington (Safe House) and Mark Wahlberg (The Fighter) as a DEA agent and undercover Naval Intelligence officer who have been tasked with investigating one another, only to find they have been set up by the mob - the very organization the two men believe they have been stealing money from - to steal money from the C.I.A. The film will be directed by Contraband helmer Baltasar Kormákur, and in the following video interview, James Marsden talks about being beaten up by the two leads.

"I play a Navy Commander to Mark Wahlberg's Navy Seal and it's called 2 Guns. There's a lot of firing pistols and RPG's and it's a big blow 'em up movie. There's a lot of fight scenes which is very different for me because, you know, I'm usually the prince in Disney movies! [Laughs] I'm beaten by both of them. I've got a couple of fight scenes. One with Denzel and one with Mark and I got the short end of the stick with both of them."

"He [Denzel] steps on set and you feel his presence, you know, and it's a whole choreographed fight scene where you find yourself thinking, 'Well, I'm never gonna disagree with his ideas when he comes and says, 'I'm gonna pick you up, I'm gonna throw you over the table, I'm gonna bend you over and I'm gonna do this and stick my hand up your...' [Laughs] And you kind of have to go, 'Ok, Denzel!'"

For the past 12 months, DEA agent Bobby Trench (Denzel Washington) and U.S. naval intelligence officer Marcus Stigman (Mark Wahlberg) have been reluctantly attached at the hip. Working undercover as members of a narcotics syndicate, each man distrusts his partner as much as the criminals they have both been tasked to take down. When their attempt to infiltrate a Mexican drug cartel and recover millions goes haywire, Trench and Stigman are suddenly disavowed by their superiors. Now that everyone wants them in jail or in the ground, the only person they can count on is the other. Unfortunately for their pursuers, when good guys spend years pretending to be bad, they pick up a few tricks along the way.

Marsden always gets screwed. First was wolverine, then superman taking his girls. Now wahlberg kicks his ass.

@Fogs

He does doesn't he? I never saw the version of Straw Dogs he was in recently.

Glad Edward James Olmos is still working; he was a great Adama(I really dug the pilot and first season of BSG)!

I love this guy, just hated how they went with his cyclopes character....made him doucheclops and no way the badass team leader he should have been.

Marsden was excellent in the Straw Dogs remake; I'm a big fan of the original, but actually prefer the remake to it, which is a rarity for me. In fact, it was the double-punch of Death at a Funeral (US) and Straw Dogs '11 that sold me on Marsden as one of my favorite new actors.

would love to see him again like Cyclops in a badasss role this time. He can really nail it, but it just depends on the director and writer of course.

I do agree that given the proper writing and direction he would have been a really great Cyclops. The stuff between him and Jean was great in X2.... and then they totally destroyed that in X3 but thats a whole other topic entirely

I thought the headline was real before I finished reading it. It wouldn't be surprising were it true as Marsden is rather slight compared to Wahlberg and Washington, who I'm sure could whoop him.
