Jason Statham Up For The Expendables 2!

Jason Statham Up For The Expendables 2!

Following the news that Jean-Claude Van Damme will potentially be starring in Stallone's action sequel, now Jason Statham has commented about whether or not he himself would return!

Here's what he told Collider:

"Yes I have heard about a sequel and I’d be the first to say yes to a phone call from Sly. I mean, we spoke about it as soon as the movie started to do really well and he says, you know, it would be great to do this again, and if there’s anyone who can do a good sequel it’s Sly Stallone! He’s done a fair amount. Yeah, we had a good time. It’s something I’d like to repeat."

Filming for "The Expendables 2" is hopefully set to begin later this year - although no official release date is yet in place!

Shame on everyone who hated the expendables...it was an AMAZING action movie...I would hands down see the sequel when it comes out...hopefully to replace Courture and Crews with Van Dam and Schwarzenegger. Then it would be a true action movie instead of those posers.

lol, shame on everyone? Ask my ass! It was a [frick]ing joke of a movie. If shit blowing up and retards punching each other is all it takes to float your boat then fine, but don't be actually surprised people didn't enjoy it!

Stallone said he wants to bring in Mr T, Hulk Hogan, The Rock,Steven Seagal and a young actor like Channing Tatum. The villain is Bruce Willis and he wants to give Arnold a bigger role. The studio said they don't want Steven Seagal in the movie because he is difficult to work with. JCVD was originally supposed to play Dolph Lundgren's part but he turned it down now he wants in part 2. Danny Trejo was also going to be in the first movie but he dropped out to do Machete. Oh and AlexDeLarge666, I agree with you on Tony Jaa. He would be great for this sequel but he quit doing movie.

I agree that the story was completely missing from the movie, and I was looking for it throughout, but oh well. I think all the action scenes were pretty rad though. I'd see the sequel for sure.

Get Arnold back. Have Van Damme and some others as members of his team. Then have some type of conflict between the two, or have Sly and Arnie (who's characters hate eachother) be forced to team up.

Radsavage1@ Well that sucks!:( His movies were the best martial art movies in years!! Do you know why he quit?

Kentucky@ It would be more awesome if Sly and Arnie are against each other!... Arnie as baddie! Sly as goodie!

Arnie should be a main baddie with Willis! Commanding his own mercenary group! Which members should be Kurt Russell (Group´s second in command after Arnie), Wesley Snipes, Antonio Banderas (he is [frick]ing great baddie in Assassins), Dwayne Johnson, Luke Goss, Tony Jaa, Scott Adkins, Olivier Gruner, Ray Park and Michael Biehn
All those other guys which i mention should be just a bunch of side characters in the story few of them maybe working for the agency and few just Sly´s characters buddies!
If Sly loads more to the script and makes it much much longer movie i say then it is a pure win!:)

while making Ong Bak 2 Tony Jaa became upset and disappeared in the woods for several weeks. He returned and finished the movie then began Ong Bak 3. When he finished the third film he was so turned off from making movies that he quit acting. He then rode an elephant to a Buddhist temple in Surin, Thailand, where he shaved his head, took vows, and was officially ordained as a Buddhist monk.

Fun fact for Stallone fans, He was going to make another Rambo but he wanted to put him a different genre. So Stallone bought the rites to a book that I think was called Manbeast. It was about a half man half beast genetic experiment that escapes and starts to kill people in the woods by some town. The town then hires a hunter to kill it. Stallone was going to change the hunter into Rambo but then changed his mind. He still wants to make it but not as Rambo. He also wants adapt one of Edgar Allan Poe's story's. It was also rumored he may be playing John Gotti.

Rad@ WOW! That guy is going to be legend someday!... Seriously!
I do that too you know sometimes when im really pissed off by someone or by the course of the world! I just disappear for several hours and then comeback!... But that happens only mentally!xD lol
But yeah its cool that he gived up fighting! Its very stupid to fight anyway! At least he made few cool movies which his fans can remember him!

Stallone vs. The Manbeast movie could be a pretty cool flick?... Only if it doesnt include Rambo thou!
Heh heh! Stallone does Poe!:D lol
And Stallone as John Gotti??... Well it could happen?

AlexDeLarge87 - 1/16/2011, 7:59 PM
Ong Bak movies are my favorites!!:D All three equally! Thou the 2 and 3 are little bit better! I like the time period in those movies! Reminds me of Bang Rajan! If you havent seen it you must! Its a great war movie!

Born to Fight is probably the only one which i havent seen!

Radsavage1 - 1/16/2011, 11:33 PM
I saw Ong Bak 2 and 3, 3 is better. A lot of people haven't seen born to fight. Then again there are like 5 movies Tony Jaa is in that people don't even know exist. Im not talking about the Protector or any of the Ong Bak movies.
