While watching Mad Max: Fury Road, it's not hard to imagine that it was the kind of shoot that led to some difficult moments for those involved with bringing such absolute carnage to the screen. Just after the movie wrapped production, rumors began to swirl that Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron didn't get along... to put it mildly. Now that the film has been released, the stars and director have begun to open up a bit more about the situation, and Theron explains why she and Hardy clashed in an interview with Esquire.

"We [frick]in' went at it, yeah. And on other days, he and George [Miller, the director] went at it. It was the isolation, and the fact that we were stuck in a rig for the entire shoot. We shot a war movie on a moving truck—there's very little green screen. It was like a family road trip that just never went anywhere. We never got anywhere. We just drove. We drove into nothingness, and that was maddening sometimes. And it's material that's really frightening—we didn't have a script. Tom and I are actors who take our jobs seriously. Both of us want to please the directors we work with, and when you don't know if you can deliver on that, it's a frightening place to be—and for Tom more than me, because he was stepping into big shoes."

Despite their problems, Theron maintains that they still have the utmost respect for one another. "I'd rather have that honesty working with someone than someone who fake-smiles through something—especially for actors, when your job is to go for the emotional truth," she added. "When you're with somebody and you don't feel like you're in their emotional truth, then you don't trust them. I think good actors go all the way." You can read much more from Theron at the link below, and if you haven't seen Fury Road yet, do so immediately!

She was fantastic in Mad Max, I really hope Marvel, FOX, Sony or Warner Bros. Scoops her up for some type of super hero/villain role.

Yes Charlize T. is the lead in this movie and she is amazing! She needs to be in a CBM! Man I could see her as Black Canary or Ms. Marvel.

This film is from another level... high standard shit. Hate to compare, but Fury Road makes AOU looks like child's play... is a sin to even compare the two films. Seriously, I not even want to start a flame war or something.

LOL! Your comment coming from someone with the Marvel and Psycho in your name.

That being said you must of missed my comment about it making DC or Marvel look like amateur hour!

And no I do not like everything WB pushes out...... but I do like what Mr. Miller pushed out!

And yes this movie is that good, the same reason why Godfather, Star wars Empire Strikes Back, or any other movie that does not rely on a lot of green screen.

LMAO! So your thought or conspiracy is that WB paid for the high RT score?????

You know WB owns RT and yet MOS got a 56%, it is safe to say there is no funny business going on there!

She is THE MOST KICK ASS action star on the fornicating planet.
Amazing how such a strikingly beautiful woman can transform into such a beast of a weapon.

If you liked emily blunt in "live, die, repeat" (which was awesome) thenthis cranks it to 11.

Overrated movie in my opinion. The first 20 minutes was GOAT but the rest was just one huge action sequence. I'll take a scoop of plot with my expresso... please and thank you.

Movie was great. Was extremely pissed off that we didn't get Max in his damn Falcon though. The movie was just a post-nuclear war version of Keanu Reeves' Speed. I'm also sort of bummed out that the sequel is supposedly titled "Mad Max: Furiosa". She was a cool character, but why can't we just get a movie like the game coming out in September where it's just straight up car action? I grew bored 40 minutes into the movie. Them on a tanker for the whole duration? Ugh. If I was feeling fussy, squirming in my seat, I can only imagine how the cast felt while filming it.

I am laughing how I am being a labeled a DC troll because I said it is the best CBM of 2015 right now!

And than people chose to overlook my comment that this movie makes anything DC or Marvel do look like amateur hour!!!!!!!!

Man people are delusional!
