Tom Cruise Jumps Out Of A Plane In A Pair Of Insane New Photos From MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE - FALLOUT

Even though the film has "officially" wrapped, it looks like Tom Cruise and director Chris McQuarrie are still filming a little something extra and by the looks of it, it may be absolutely insane!

A few weeks ago, when director Chris McQuarrie announced that filming had officially wrapped on Mission: Impossible - Fallout, he also revealed that he would be continuing work for a few more weeks with a splinter unit to shoot something he simply referred to as "the stunt."

While we already know the extended helicopter sequence will serve as the film's flagship stunt, it looks like he and Tom Cruise are actually cooking up something a little extra for the highly-anticipated summer blockbuster and based on these two new photos, it's shaping up to be absolutely insane.

The duo finished filming in Abu Dhabi yesterday and as a follow-up, earlier this afternoon, Cruise shared a jaw-dropping shot of him jumping out of an airplane with a just a
parachute. There's also a second behind-the-scenes shot of Cruise and McQuarrie with gas masks on, sitting in the back of presumably the same airplane and a caption that reads. "Remember, kids. We are professionals. Don’t try this at home..."

Check out the two photos below:

Can't freaking wait for this film, it will be one of the best of this year.

Regardless of the quality of these films, I've always admired how they take advantage of practical effects and actual stuntwork instead of CGI. It just adds something you know.

What a true statement!

@CaptainBing - I've always felt that using practical effects and stuntwork, especially actors doing their own stunts, is very unappreciated in Hollywood. I wish there would be a category at the Oscars for "Best Stuntwork" where you would have actors (such as Tom) and stunt actors recognized for their skills.

@dainaron - Sorry, I phrased that wrong! I meant, regardless of how other people see the quality of these films. I love them too dude!

@HeavyMetal4Life - Agreed! I don't mid cgi, but I do mind an over reliance of it. Because then I just think it's laziness.
Also, I agree with the Oscars category! However, as talented as Cruise is, I don't think he's the godfather of stunts...that would be Jackie Chan!

@CaptainBing - I've never thought of Cruise as the godfather of stunts, but he's certainly the best one alive doing them.

@HeavyMetal4Life - For sure. I'm just a huge Jackie Chan fan haha.

@CaptainBing - I'm not as big a fan of his, he's a little too goofy for me. But The Foreigner with him last year was really great. Wish he would do more serious films like that.

@HeavyMetal4Life - You have to go past his American stuff. All of his Chinese films are insane, and might be more of what you're looking for.

I was really pissed when my brother thought Cruise hanging on the side of the plane in Rogue Nation was green screen. I hope they're able to film his stunts in a way that makes you know for sure that it is 100% real.
