Showbiz411 is reporting that Rebecca Ferguson, breakout star of the critically acclaimed Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation, has been "signed, sealed, and delivered" for Paramount Pictures to reprise her role as Ilsa Faust in the upcoming sixth installment of their long-running action franchise. She'll become the first female lead to return for a second Mission and will reunite with long-time franchise star Tom Cruise and Rogue Nation director Christopher McQuarrie, who was also recently confirmed to return for the sixth Mission.

The studio hasn't offered any sort of official confirmation on her return yet, so it would probably be best to take this news with the smallest grain of salt, but considering there were multiple reports that suggested Ferguson's Rogue Nation contract contained an option to appear in a sequel, this report is probably more true than not. No word yet on the rest of the cast, but expect at least a couple familiar faces from the ensemble of Jeremy Renner, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames, Alec Baldwin, Paula Patton, and/or Maggie Q to return.

Before she tackles the next Mission, which is expected to kick off production next August, Ferguson will star alongside Emily Blunt (Edge Of Tomorrow) in The Girl On The Train and she's also signed on to star opposite Michael Fassbender (X-Men: Apocalypse) in The Snowman.

So, what do you guys think? Excited for the return of Ilsa Faust? Sound off with your thoughts below!

With the IMF disbanded, and Ethan (Tom Cruise) out in the cold, the team now faces off against a network of highly skilled special agents, the Syndicate. These highly trained operatives are hellbent on creating a new world order through an escalating series of terrorist attacks. Ethan gathers his team and joins forces with disavowed British agent Ilsa Faust (Rebecca Ferguson), who may or may not be a member of this rogue nation, as the group faces their most impossible mission yet.

Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation features:
Director: Christopher McQuarrie
Tom Cruise as Ethan Hunt
Jeremy Renner as William Brandt
Simon Pegg as Benji Dunn
Ving Rhames as Luther Stickell
Rebecca Ferguson as Ilsa Faust
Alec Baldwin as Alan Hunley
Sean Harris as Solomon Lane
Simon McBurney as Attlee
Zhang Jingchu as Lauren
Jens Hultén as Janik "Bone Doctor" Vinter
Tom Hollander as the Prime Minister

@DrDoom

Is the headscissors takedown the only move these women do in movies? Ever since Widow did it in IM2, I've seen countless of heroines perform this movie.

I can live with confusing Their/There/They're, but between misspelling ROGUE and SHOULD'VE, I feel like punching someone.

ROGUE =/= ROUGE

SHOULD'VE =/= SHOULD OF.

English is not even my first language. I shouldn't have to tell you this.

She was one of the best things about the last movie. So this is great news. WB should get her for Carol Ferris and have her kick butt as Star Sapphire too.

It's not someones issue if they find a woman attractive. It actually sounds like they were trying WAY too hard to make her some super heroine. Granted, I somehow missed this one and need to see it to draw my own conclusions. I'm just not impressed when it's all, "she's so kick ass!"

I adored Paula Patton and really like Rebecca too. But then again I liked Thandie Newton too.
We need two women in the crew for once! Come on Cruise - don't a manwhore.

All the spy movies this year were better than Bond.

I thought I was gonna go nuts, I wanted that movie to end so badly.
