RED NOTICE Has Officially Become The Most-Watched Movie In Netflix's History
Despite an overall negative critical reaction, Netflix's Red Notice has now officially become the most-watched movie in the streamer's history, less than a month after the action comedy's release.
Netflix's action-comedy, Red Notice, has now officially become the streaming giant's most-watched film - less than a month after its release.
The crime-caper, which stars Dwayne Johnson, Gal Gadot and Ryan Reynolds, was not a hit with critics (we weren't the biggest fans ourselves), but despite its lowly 35% on Rotten Tomatoes, Red Notice still clocked up 328.8 million viewing hours by Netflix users, surpassing the previous record held by Bird Box (282 million viewing hours).
The figures also show that 50% of all subscribers worldwide have watched the movie, which remains in Netflix's top 10 films list in 94 countries.
Johnson took to Twitter to share the news.
Holy shit 🤯

RED NOTICE is now the most watched film in @netflix history.
Previous record held by BIRD BOX in 2018 with 282 million hours viewed.
With still 11 days to go, RED NOTICE has been viewed for 392 MILLION HOURS. F’n insane 🙏🏾🥃@SevenBucksProd https://t.co/QQ3ygdVbUt
While we still haven't had official confirmation, this all-but guarantees a sequel, and there are rumors that director Rawson Marshall Thurber is being courted to helm two more movies.
