Comic Book Resources were at WonderCon to cover Marvel's "Talk to the Hat" panel with Tom Brevoort, Mark Waid, Arune Singh and Jeph Loeb. You can find the highlights in full by clicking on the link below. However, here is what Loeb had to say about their upcoming live action and animated television plans.
One of the first questions asked was in regards to what is happening with the previously announced live action TV series.
"All I can tell you is that we're in development," said Loeb in a somewhat disappointing update.
"We're working very toward bringing the Hulk back to television. We have in development another show which is 'The Punisher' and the first show we put into development, 'AKA Jessica Jones' which you guys know as 'Alias.'" While it's good to hear that Marvel are still working on bringing these characters to the small screen, it sounds as if they're still a couple of years away.
As for their animated ventures, Loeb was quizzed about the chances of an animated Deadpool series:
"I can't tell you but there are certainly plans out there to see what that would look like." There wasn't a lot else said about the rest of their future plans, but did tease the appearance of Stan Lee in the upcoming
Ultimate Spider-Man Disney XD series.
"I can tell you that when you catch 'Ultimate Spider-Man' on DXD, you can catch Stan Lee as Stan the Janitor. It's a delight [to work with him]. Stan Lee still has stories to tell and the energy of a 14 year old boy."
