Thanks to his roles as both Jerome and Jeremiah on Gotham, actor Cameron Monaghan is no stranger to comic book adaptations, specifically those based on DC Comics characters. But now the star is set to venture into the animated side of the DC Universe.

Included in copies of The Death of Superman, are several bonus features for fans to check out. There is even content relating to the sequel, Reign of the Supermen, and it was during this material that we learned of Monaghan's involvement.

It was revealed that the actor was a part of the cast of Reign of the Supermen when, like other members of the crew, he took part in a brief interview for the film. However, the most surprising part about Cameron Monaghan's presence was the fact that he was listed as the voice of Superboy.

Aside from his shocking appearance on copies of the animated movie, the star further teased his role with an Instagram post that you can check out below.

Death of Superman was actually really good and I recommend it. I'm sure you'll all say DC Animation isn't good without watching it though.

Truthto me is the only real miss lately was Batman and Harley Quinn.

@KingGrimlock -
Although I stopped liking the DC Animated Films when they started their new direction with Justice League: War and Son of Batman, but I have to admit that they are stepping up their game lately. Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay, Gotham by Gaslight, The Judas Contract, and now Death of Superman. I can only hope that the DCEU finds its footing next.

Cool I really dig Cameron. Great actor and very pleasant to watch in interviews. Seems like a decent fella and I've got faith in his abilities.

I recently downloaded all the good DC animated films. I'm curious, what's everyone's top 5-10 DC animated films?

From the ones I've seen, here's my Top 5:

1. Mask of the Phantasm
2. Dark Knight Returns
3. Flashpoint Paradox
4. Under the Red Hood
5. JL: Doom

Honorable mention to Green Lantern: First Flight because it's the best GL film we have.

I've always been a fan of DC's animated stuff, its like they can do that right. But then when it comes to making there movies they drop the ball. Then with Marvel there movies are great, but then there animated stuff sucks.

Love that guy. Jerome FTW

I think they should have let HIM play The Joker in next year's film instead of "Whacky Joaquin".

@ManThing

“Whacky Joaquin” is probably top 5, arguably top 3 working actors today.
