DETECTIVE PIKACHU TV Spot Introduces Us To Lickitung And Provides A Closer Look At Bulbasaur

This new Detective Pikachu TV spot features a lot of never before seen footage from the movie, but most excitingly, it gives us a first look at Lickitung and the best shot yet of star Pokemon, Bulbasaur...

When Detective Pikachu was first announced, the response was mostly negative with many fans ridiculing Warner Bros.' decision to have the first live-action Pokemon movie revolve around this obscure talking video game character.

Well, the first trailer changed everything and the signs are currently pointing to this being one of 2019's most enjoyable blockbusters (assuming it can escape that pesky video game movie curse, that is). Now, a new TV spot has been released and this one features a lot of fun new footage along with
a first look at Lickitung and a gorgeous shot of Bulbasaur.

Visually, these live-action Pokemon look downright incredible and if Detective Pikachu is a hit, the door will be wide open to a number of movies, one of which will hopefully introduce Ash Ketchum and some other familiar faces.

For now, though, this TV spot is a must-watch and hopefully leading to a new trailer as that May release date gets closer.

What do you guys think of this latest look at Detective Pikachu? As always, share your thoughts in the comments section below!

@MancombSeepgood - I wonder how a realistic Gastly would look, or a Haunter. I can do without Gengar because he's already terrifying enough in 2D.

@Spidey91 - imo bulbs has always been the favorite, not to mention most useful in game

@Ryos - I always had the feeling he was the underdog of the main three, since a lot of people tend to gravitate towards either Charmander or Squirtle

@Spidey91 - Not really...the first couple of gyms Bulbasaur has the biggest advantages, second is Squirtle. If anything, Charmander is the real underdog because you basically have to evolve it into a Charmeleon before taking on Brock comfortably.

@Spidey91 - Bulbasaur was my first ever Pokémon. #1 in the Pokédex, #1 in my heart.

@Himura - I meant underdog in terms of overall popularity, not necesarily usefulness in the game.
to be fair, I have only tried Fire Red with Charmander and Squirtle, and Charmander does have an uphill battle at the beginning. not so much Squirtle because once you get him to a certain level he just makes almost every type of Pokemon his bitch LOL
