The Rupert Sanders (Snow White and The Huntsman) directed Ghost In The Shell film doesn't begin filming until the winter of 2016, but the film has already received an earlier release date. The live action adaptation has moved from it's origianl date of April 14, 2017 to March 31, 2017, a whole two weeks earlier than it's previous date. It is believed that this change is to avoid opening the same week as the next film in the Fast & Furious franchise, Furious 8.

The Ghost in the Shell stars Scarlett Johansson (The Avengers) with a script penned by Bill Wheeler.  Avi Arad, Steven Spielberg, and Steven Paul will be overseeing the DreamWorks Pictures production

I'm VERY nervous about this movie, i'm having a feeling it could be complete trash. I hope it's rated R so at LEAST we can see Scarlett Johansson topless... again :)

...hell make him a multi-race with a Derby accent.
I don't give a fluff about what he looks like if the next rebooted Spider-man is yet another Peter Parker.
