This latest TV promo for Rupert Sanders' Ghost in the Shell features some new footage from the film, and kicks-off with a brief clip.
In it, we see Scarlett Johansson's character regain consciousness on an operating table, only to discover that she's been given a new body after a terrorist attack. Her doctor (Juliette Binoche) explains that her mind and spirit are still her own, but, of course, we know she's not being 100% truthful about how things played out.
Based on the internationally-acclaimed sci-fi property, “GHOST IN THE SHELL” follows the Major, a special ops, one-of-a-kind human-cyborg hybrid, who leads the elite task force Section 9. Devoted to stopping the most dangerous criminals and extremists, Section 9 is faced with an enemy whose singular goal is to wipe out Hanka Robotic’s advancements in cyber technology.
Rupert Sanders is at the helm of Ghost in the Shell, which also stars Michael Pitt, Juliette Binoche, “Beat” Takeshi Kitano, Michael Wincott, and Pilou Asbæk, and is set for release on March 31, 2017.
