ANT-MAN & THE WASP Deleted Scenes Introduce A Mysterious New Inhabitant Of The Quantum Realm

Marvel's Ant-Man and The Wasp is set to hit Blu-ray and DVD on October 16, and the first two deleted scenes from the sequel are now online. One is nothing special, but the other is very interesting indeed.

Ant-Man and The Wasp will release on Digital this coming Tuesday before hitting Blu-ray and DVD on October 16, and thanks to USA Today we have a look at two of the deleted scenes that'll be featured.

The first gives the villainous Sonny Burch (Walton Goggins) a bit more to do, but it doesn't really add anything to the plot and it's easy to see why it was cut. The other is a very different story, however.

As Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) and Janet Van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer) traverse The Quantum Realm they encounter a huge (well, relatively speaking) entity blocking their path. After Janet communicates with the mysterious creature it agrees to let them pass.

We don't get any hints as to who or what this being is, but the existence of intelligent life within the QR could well factor into the plot of Avengers 4.

Pretty neat, don't think they should have cut these. Second scene also confirms the quantum realm city theory...

Needed more quantum realm in this movie. Feel like we should've been introduced to Janet a lot sooner and maybe have the three of them escaping the QR.

Also - cut out Bill and Ghost. Ghost was cool when the costume was on. Wasn't a huge fan of her backstory or how crazy she is when Janet seems to be completely fine.

Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lily have good chemistry and they're fun to watch. But Lily should've been given more meat seeing as how she was marketed as the co-lead.

Will always wonder what Edgar Wright could've done with franchise.

@regularmovieguy - lol. Sums up Peyton Reed and his directing and story habits.

@regularmovieguy - I don't know if I exactly want Wright's vision for these movies, but I feel as though they really needed to lean into the sci-fi aspects of the film, and feel less action heisty and funny.

I don't necessarily want a dark tale or whatever, but there's a lot of "mad scientist" potential with a character like Hank Pym. Think of it like how Tony Stark is so obsessive about creating new suits, being Iron Man, and trying to save a protect the world from threats that haven't arrived. It might have made Hank maybe a bit too similar to Tony, but I think it'll be at least more interesting to have a guy who is constantly trying to push the limits of his own mind and creations. Coupled with some crazy and trippy sci-fi concepts and you could have something really unique I think.

I like Paul Rudd in the role, as well as the stuff they've done with Michael Douglas' Hank Pym and and Hope as well. But I do feel there was a missed opportunity.

Doesn't really add anything, but okay.

Where did she get the tools to build this device? Also, what has she been eating this whole time? Her character confuses me.
