Never believe anything until it is 100% official. Earlier today fans rejoiced as Armie Hammer was rumoured to have visited the set of Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Along with Hammer appearing on set of the film, it was also rumored that Ant-Man director, Mr Edgar Wright was also on set... Well Edgar Wright took to Twitter and denied all rumors of him visiting the set of Cap 2. Edgar also denied any meeting with Armie Hammer, so for now I'd say take all of this with a grain of salt. What do you guys make of all this?

I don't see where (or how) he denied that Armie Hammer was on the set, and Armie said himself that he was there.

"Earlier today fans rejoiced as Armie Hammer was rumoured to have visited the set of Captain America: The Winter Soldier."

Armie confirmed himself that he was there.

"Well it turns out that none of that is fact, Edgar Wright (director of the upcoming comedy, The World's End) took to Twitter and denied all rumors of him or Armie Hammer visiting the set of Cap 2."

Nowhere does he say that Armie wasn't on the set, just that he wasn't there with him.

Someone on that post believed that Armie Hammer was playing Captain Marvel.

I don't even know where to begin...

of course they have to deny that, that would be a breach of contract of confidentiality.

we'll see

@VenomSpawnRises: I think reading comprehension still evades you... Edgar said he was not on the Cap 2 set. Edgar never said that Hammer was *Not on the Cap 2 set, just that he hasn't met him.

Well Sage, the confidentiality agreement would mean that they could not TALK about it, it doesn't state that they have to LIE about it if asked.

He could have easily said absolutely nothing at all.

I don't think there is any sort of legitimate agreement around that demand you lie about something if asked.

Don't believe either of them tbh. It's all too... random to not have some truth to it.

Still I'll hold on to the salt shaker until we get official details.

It wasn't too long ago that Iron Man was a "lame" character.

I wonder if Armie's publicist had him show up to create this discussion as a way of opening the door to an offer by Marvel for the role of Ant-Man? It seems a lot of agents or publicists will have their clients do something like this so they can show the company that the fans would support this casting.

Then release something about Ant Man Edgar, then people wont have to jump to conclusions. Your just sitting in the dark doing nothing and yet there's nothing about Ant Man and what there doing with the character.

This is why i wanted someone else to direct and screen write the project other than Edgar.

There's really no shock in Edgar Wright or Armie Hammer denying they have either met or visited the set... even if they have, they won't admit it until Marvel wants them too...
