Aquaman reaches a number of international locations next week and will then debut in North America the following Friday. Now, with box office projections going through the roof and positive reactions from critics, you probably won't be surprised to learn that Warner Bros. has already started talking about developing a sequel.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Warner Bros. Pictures Group Chairman Toby Emmerich has initiated talks for a sequel. It should be noted, however, that it's still very early days and these talks are so preliminary, no writer has been hired as of yet.
Even so, this is very good news and it's definitely a relief to see another member of the Justice League receive their own solo series of movies, especially as the futures of Batman, Superman, and the Flash are unclear as of right now (as for Cyborg, he was never getting his own feature).
Are you excited to see Aquaman's story continue after this movie or do you need to see the first instalment before getting excited about a second? As always, share your thoughts below.
