Agent Coulson Hints At Skrulls In The Avengers?

Clark Gregg, the actor behind Agent Coulson of Marvel's Cinematic Universe, may have hinted that the alien race, Skrulls will in fact be in The Avengers, as well the chance of him actually being one. Check it out!

While the long-mentioned rumor of Marvel assembling The Avengers against extraterrestrial beings, the Skrulls has yet to be debunked, today, the possiblitly may have been taken through the roof and beyond. Actor Clark Gregg, who portrays Phil Coulson, Agent of SHIELD, has used his Twitter profile to respond to the speculation, from a brief talk with our very own 'Josh Wilding' and myself.



Though it's clearly true, expect a debunk in no less than an hour. However, with just those few words, Gregg may have confirmed not only that the Skrulls will appear in the highly-anticipated crossover event, but that he may be one of them, or involved. What do you think?

Anyhow, The Avengers stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Samuel L. Jackson, Scarlett Johansson, Chris Hemsworth, Clark Gregg, Jeremy Renner, Kevin Pennington, Cobie Smulders, and Tom Hiddleston assembling in theaters May 4, next year!

With the list of villains/threats that exists to choose from, I really hope that Marvel doesn't jam Skrulls into The Avengers. We finally have a "super powered" team movie that looks like it may be put together the way it should be put together. Lets see these guys go up against other "super powered" beings instead of a horde of aliens.

I hate to say it, but I TOLD YOU SO!!! :) Called this one way back in an editorial I did last year. And here is what I had to say...

There are plenty of well known S.H.I.E.L.D agents that Iron Man could have introduced but instead they created a new one which gives them a lot more leeway with what they can do with him. Coulson has so far had a lot of involvement with Tony Stark and with the news that he’ll have an even bigger role in Thor, the character is inserting himself quite heavily into the heroes lives. There’s nothing all that unusual about that I know but just picture this. After the credits of The Avengers, Coulson is seen in shadow talking on a mysterious looking device taking orders from someone only to step out of the dark in his Skrull form to turn back into Coulson! A huge twist and a perfect way to set up the alien race in preparation for a sequel!

The first movie will be Loki & Hulk vs avengers but the real reason for the reunion of all this superheores will be the skrulls invasion

I have to say, I think he is just having a bit of fun with you! Not that the Skrulls won't be in it, or even that he won't be one, but I wouldn't take this as any kind of confirmation. Worth the article of course, but I wouldn't put so much emphasis on this being "confirmed"

I'd rather see the Skrulls being used for later. I think Loki working with a twenty-first century Hydra would be really great and since they are villians that are going to be introduced in Thor and Captain America, it will make the plot gel more.

i think the beginning of the movie should kind of focus on them bringing the hulk in, regardless of loki controlling him or not. then progress to the main villain confrontation with the big four on the same side. seeing as iron man, hulk, thor, and cap all have their own villains for their own respective movies, those villains should not be the main threat imo. maybe loki joining with whomever, but if they can all be beaten by the solo hero of each flick, there is no need for the team to take on that specific threat. i dont really see the hulk or iron man villains showing up, loki and red skull maybe, but there needs to be something apocalyptic that only their combined might will be able to take down. maybe thanos, i dont really have a specific idea in mind. any ideas true believers??

I don't know too much about the avengers rogue gallery but from what people keep suggessting, I would want to see Loki control the Hulk. And for people mentioning Kang, I don't think we'll see him for a while
