FEATURE: Five Of The Biggest Reveals In The AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON Trailer

The first amazing trailer for Avengers: Age of Ultron blew us all away earlier tonight (you can check it out by clicking here), but what were the biggest reveals, spoilers, and questions raised by this second preview of the sequel? Here are just five of what we consider the biggest...

5. Ultron

There are a lot of interesting Ultron reveals in the trailer. For starters, it appears as if Bruce Banner (and Tony Stark) recognises or at last know of the artificial intelligence's existence before he makes his presence felt here in his cobbled together first form. Originating from a Chitauri virus, could it be that Iron Man and the Hulk learn of Ultron's sentience long before this moment? It would match up with Ultron revealing himself to Hank Pym in the comic books when he called him "Da-Da" upon awakening, and makes the Science Bros even more accountable for the villain's creation.

Later in the trailer, we see an advanced version of Ultron taking down Captain America, possibly Thor, and showing off his devestating powers as you can see from the image above. Stick around until after the title card appears and we're also treated to yet another glimpse of the baddie.

4. Mystery Woman

Marvel don't just randomly throw things into their trailers and movies for the sake of it, and you have to know that this scene was included just to get us all talking. Who is this woman? There have been a lot of theories and speculation since the trailer landed, but based on her appearance, I'm going to say she's Wakandan. Looking at her, it's hard to pinpoint a specific character, but a member of the Dora Milaje is possible, as is Black Panther's younger sister, Shuri. The comic book version of the character has similar short hair and using her here could be a clever way of setting up the big screen debut of T'Challa/Black Panther in next year's Captain America: Civil War!

We later catch a glimpse of another woman behind Thor when he's being electrocuted, but whether she has any connections to the one above is unclear. Their garb is somewhat similar though, so it could be that they are somehow connected. It's another weird looking place anyway!

3. Black Widow

Gratuitous ass shot aside, there's a lot of interesting stuff going on for Black Widow in this trailer. Perhaps the most intriguing though is the shot of a woman's hand appearing over her face and seemingly placing her on a stretcher. Could this be HYDRA related? It definitely looks similar to the location we saw in the mid-credits stinger in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, but I have another theory. We've heard that Scarlet Witch at one point does something to each of The Avengers, possibly forcing them to revisit traumatic moments in their past or even their greatest fears. Black Widow looks quite a bit more youthful in the scene above, so could this be a flashback to her time in Russia's Red Room before she joined S.H.I.E.L.D. after being recruited by Hawkeye?

2. Wakanda

There have been rumblings for quite some time now about Wakanda playing a role in Avengers: Age of Ultron, and another glimpse at what appears to be Andy Serkis as well-know Black Panther villain Ulysses Klaw might just confirm it. It now seems like a safe bet that Ultron heads to Wakanda in order to get his hands on Vibranium and upgrade his form into one that not even the combined might of The Avengers can combat. If that is the case, who better to turn to for assistance than Klaw? (it's also worth noting that this would match up to the comic books in some respects due to the fact that the villains worked together as part of the Masters of Evil for a time).

Throw in what appears to be the Wakandan woman we mentioned earlier, and Wakanda might just end up playing a much larger role in Avengers: Age of Ultron than any of us initially expected!

1. What's Happening With Hulk?

The trailer gives us an even better look at the battle between Hulk and Hulkbuster, and it's clearly going to be freaking epic! However, what causes the two to come to blows? Tony Stark looks determined to take down the Green Goliath, and this seems to be a no holds barred slugfest.

It's evident that the Hulk is out of control however, as he attacks police officers and causes even more destruction than in any of the previous rampages we've seen featuring the character. However, one quick look at his eyes may indicate that Hulk is not fully in control, and that leaves us to wonder who or what is influencing him. Could it be Ultron? Scarlet Witch seems more likely, but Hulk is clearly not himself regardless. Could this lead to him being jettisoned into outer space for the protection of everyone on Earth or is the scene between Hulk and Black Widow earlier in the trailer her calming him down and bringing the fight to an end? We'll have to wait and see, but setting up Planet Hulk could be a way of giving fans what they've wanted for a very long time...

Ok so Please have the illuminati meeting and Tony presenting the super human registration act (bleeding into cap 3) and finishing it by saying something along the lines of "Something needs to be done about the huLk..." and mcu illuminati consisting of Tony, black bolt (Inhumans nov. 2018), black panther (Nov. 2017), Dr. Strange (nov 2016), Namor (who we'll prolly never see again lol) and Hank Pym (first look before ant-man) as an after credits scene. Pushin it but it's marvel, they could swing it in their marvelous way. And just another shot in the dark, banner using tech to control huLk and gets hacked by ultron

I know that a lot of people are already in the hypre train but for me, besides of the hulk vs hulkbuster scenes, the trailer is underwhelming.
the effects are very bad for a movie that is almost complete.
the story seems very cliche and ultron and his bots doesnt seem like a major treat.
but wll, its only a trailer...
(antman trailer sucks too)

good trailer. The only thing that bothers me is the tone of the movie.
Right now it's looks like a mix of good drama/fantasy movie.
But what the final reult will be ?

If the tone of the final movie won't conform with the tone of the trailer then i'll be
disappointed.

Pretty sure that Cap was actually just fighting a drone. It had blue eyes, not red. Ultron has red eyes...

As good as I thought the trailer was, it was ridiculous that one of the only shots in the trailer of Black Widow was an ass shot. It kind of defeats the purpose of having a strong female superhero that can stand next to the others, and though I wouldn't call it gratuitous, does mildly demonstrate that they don't have a grasp on marketing their female characters without the appeal of their sexuality. But hey, that's just me! The movie looks pretty great regardless.

@sipprelle - I guess Black Widow holding twin Terminator rifles means she was about to make Captain America a sammich?

Marvel will always be the best.

DC are too lazy and scared to put out a fricking movie.

"oh noes, marvel is still [frick]ing us over, what we gonna do?"
"postpone cashgrab vs cashgrab: dawn of cashgrab to 2016...we do not mess with our overlords marvel"

The only reason I want planet hulk is there hasn't even been a sequel to TIH and there isn't any explanation of where he's been or what he's been doin (obviously been at Avengers tower workin w Tony, but then there isn't anything prepped for him all the way thru infinity war so unless he gets imprisoned at the end of AoU where the funk is huLk?)

I mean Hulk takes out cops via punting a damn truck at them. The Avengers can't sweep that under the rug. He's gotta go.
