Will Brian Tyler Score THE AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON?

Having scored both of this year's “Phase Two” movies, Iron Man 3 and Thor: The Dark World, it's safe to say Brian Tyler has established a great relationship with Marvel Studios. The composer even created the Disney-owned company's very own fanfare which will feature with a new logo before every future Marvel Studios production. So, it comes as no huge surprise that Marvel would want Brian Tyler back on board for the penultimate “Phase Two” movie, The Avengers: Age of Ultron.
Apparently, he 's already signed on to score the anticipated Marvel sequel, if Film Score Monthly message board user Adam Krysinski is to believe.

Brian Tyler would take over musical arrangement duties from two-time Oscar-nominated composer Alan Silvestri, who's behind The Avengers original score as well as Captain America: The First Avenger. Ironically, Tyler told Tracksounds recently that he used Silvestri's theme from the latter film for a key scene in Thor: The Dark World. Furthermore, the conductor also revealed in the same interview that he has talked with composer Henry Jackman about his score for Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Perhaps, their “chat” adds some sort of correlation with (and more legitimacy to) Brian Tyler scoring The Avengers: Age of Ultron. What do you think?

Anyhow, with a new cinematographer in Ben Davis and now a potential composer in Brian Tyler, it seems Marvel and writer/director Joss Whedon are taking Earth's mightiest heroes in a completely different direction, creatively. Of course, the same could be said for the entire “Phase Two” slate. The Avengers: Age of Ultron stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Cobie Smulders, Jeremy Renner, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, with Samuel L. Jackson and James Spader. The anticipated film is set for release on May 1, 2015.

Around the time “creative differences” prevented composer Carter Burwell from scoring the Thor sequel, Tracksounds.com acknowledged Brian Tyler coming aboard The Dark World in aTwitter post that also claimed to know who was slated to score the Age of Ultron. Although they couldn't reveal who it was at the time, this first hinted at Tyler scoring AOU back in June.

My favorite MCU scores as of right now are from The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man and Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Winter Soldier may be the best we've had yet. But how about Hans Zimmer scoring Amazing Spider-Man 2? The theme I heard from the comic con trailer was superb!

Dang, I really liked Silvestri's theme( and the rest of the music) for The Avengers. Oh well....

I say a big YES to this, as long as Tyler mantains the Avengers' theme song and give some continuity to the scores he already composed for Iron Man 3 and Thor: The Dark World. He also proved he is able to maintain Captain America's main theme if needed, as seen in Chris Evans' cameo.

I like what Silvestri has done with Cap and The Avengers, I really do, but the MCU needs to maintain certain music continuity with their heroes. Nolan's Batman and Raimi's Spiderman trilogies didn't suffer from this.

I like Iron Man 3 and Thor 2 scores but they were not that memorable except Iron man 3 End credit theme.and overall the Avengers score pretty solid comparing to this movies but I will give him chance.

For me this year Man of Steel got pretty Impressive Soundtracks followed by the Wolverine.
Man of Steel tracks are now my all time favorite.

Brian Tyler is good, but his music for Iron Man 3 and Thor TDW are pretty standard. They were good, but didn't stick out in my mind. John Williams is slipping in his old age. I don't really like his recent stuff and I don't think he'd suit the Avengers.
They should get one of the following:
Alan Silvestri (return)
Henry Jackman
Hans Zimmer
Alexandre Desplat
Steve Jablonsky (YES)

I'd be okay with it. Silvestri did a fantastic job on the first one, but Brian Tyler continues to improve as a composer, in my opinion.

In general, I like the idea of people behind the scenes contributing to more than one film. Silvestri composing The First Avenger and The Avengers...Tyler composing both IM3 and Thor:TDW...potentially Age of Ultron.

I like that the Guardians Cinematographer is coming on for Age of Ultron. I think it's cool when there is an overlap in crew.
