Theories continue running rampant that the Quantum Realm will play a key role in Avengers 4, with Ant-Man and The Wasp's after-credits scene setting the stage for that perfectly by leaving Scott Lang trapped there. Throw in all those time-travel theories and it definitely feels as if it will be key to this epic adventure in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Now, Michael Douglas - who will be making an appearance of some sort in the Avengers: Infinity War sequel - may have confirmed that during a recent interview with On Air with Ryan Seacrest.
Asked if Ant-Man and The Wasp is directly connected to what happens next, he replied: "I mean, all of them. I mean, the Quantum Realm, that’s the key. That’s the key. The Quantum Realm plays an important part in all the next chapters, I think, of the Marvel films."
It certainly sounds as if we can expect to see a fair bit of the Quantum Realm in Avengers 4, with it no doubt plating a "key" role in how Earth's Mightiest Heroes defeat the Mad Titan and restore the trillions of lives wiped out by that fateful snap. We'll just have to wait and see, of course, but here's hoping the first trailer sheds some light on what comes next.
