Avengers: Endgame has remained unparalleled as one of the most emotional blockbusters ever put on fiilm, and with that, director Joe Russo has revealed the scene that garners an reaction from him the most, one that fans would generally not expect.
Even though he did not make an appearance in
Avengers: Infinity War, the opening scene for Jeremy Renner's Hawkeye in
Endgame always struck a chord for co-director Joe Russo. Speaking to Empire, the director addressed the opinion by saying:
I've got four kids, and it's a very tragic scene to open the movie with. It's one of the few scenes in the movie that actually makes me tear up when I watch it, because I think about my own family . . . And then you think about what would happen to you, as a father. You'd become very self-destructive.
The film's prologue was one that drove Hawkeye mad, making it understandable why he would turn into Ronin for the remainder of the film.
What scenes almost made you tear up?
