AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR Superfan Receives Invite From Russos For AVENGERS 4 Premiere After Seeing Film 45 Times

After over a month in theaters, Avengers: Infinity War is inching its way to $2 billion at the worldwide box office. I think found the largest contributor to the film's success yet.

Tony Mitchell is a lucky guy. Going by the name "Nem" online, he is a rapper, gamer and YouTuber who has been chronicling his weekly theater trips to see Avengers: Infinity War on Twitter ever since the film came out. His tweets, most of which you can read and scroll though HERE, have garnered a lot of attention online these past few weeks, with fans and companies even sending him pre-purchased tickets, in hopes that they can contribute to keeping his Avengers: Infinity War streak alive.

Nem claims to have seen the latest efforts from the MCU 45 times, as of this past Friday. He usually sees the film at the Northlake Mall AMC theater near his home in Charlotte, North Carolina, though on weekends he visits the Concord Mills AMC, "because the crowd at Northlake on the weekends are a little too rambunctious."

Surely you'd have to get sick of a film after seeing it upwards of 50 times in a theater, right? "No! Not in the slightest!" he told CNET.com in an email. "I am totally enthralled with this film from start to finish." And by now, only a little over a month later, he knows it all too well. "The other night I tried to recite the dialogue to a friend (my signed Stan Lee figurine), and I got about 33 percent of the way into the movie," he said. "But if I'm actually in the theater, I can mouth the entire movie word-for-word right along with the film."

The ante was officially upped this past Thursday, when IMAX gave Nem 50 free tickets, so that he could continue his streak as long as the film was in theaters. Rather than take his time and use 50 tickets in 50 days, Nem announced on Twitter that he wants to use his abundance of tickets by bringing 49 others to a showing of Ant-Man and the Wasp, when the film opens on July 6, 2018.

And on top of that, two others seemed to take notice. Directors Joe and Anthony Russo told Mitchell that they'd get him a free ticket to the premiere of Avengers 4 in 2019, thanks to all the hard-earned money he has spent on tickets to see the film and the attention he has garnered for doing so. They've also invited him (and his family) to be guests on the Avengers 4 set this fall when they re-shoot some scenes for the film, Nem says.

"Hopefully there will be drinks to calm my nerves if I see Josh Brolin, Chadwick Boseman or Stan Lee," he said. "But, in all seriousness, after talking to Joe and Anthony Russo, I can tell that they are genuinely good dudes... I'm totally grateful for the opportunity they've given me."

And for a man who has seen the film 45 times and counting, you bet he's got some thoughts about how Avengers 4 will wrap up this series of MCU films: "I believe it's going to be the end of an era," he said. "A 10-year legacy that has truly captured the heart and minds of fans all across the world, including this one."

Maybe you're a little too busy to see it 46 times, but Avengers: Infinity War is still playing in some theaters, so it couldn't hurt to see it just one more time... could it?

Avengers 4 arrives in theaters May 3, 2019.

@BlindWedjat - IKR! I don't even think I've seen any of the other MCU films that many times - maybe Guardians.

That's cool of the Russo's to do that. And i'm very glad to find out he hasn't been spending just his own money on seeing it that many times!

@Nebula - Haha yes! I really hope he's back in some capacity in the MCU. Just a lil off-hand cameo would suffice. Unless he really is dead.

@GeneralZod1138 - Shit! That kid must be pissed! Why doesn't he get to go the A4 premiere?!

Social media, I guess. Gotta play the popular prom queen game is this new perverted cyber-high-school, huh? He may have seen the movie more than twice as many times, but because he has no twitter followers, he's nobody.
Why would the Russos care about someone with no influence?

It's a sick and unfair world we live in.
