HAWKEYE: Don't Get Your Hopes Up For That Long Rumored Netflix Series

There's been speculation about Hawkeye getting a solo series on Netflix for a while now. However, while it sounds like we can forget about that, Jeremy Renner is back as Clint Barton on the Avengers 4 set!

There's been talk of a Netflix series starring Jeremy Renner's Hawkeye for some time now. None of that was based on any solid rumours or reports, of course, but that didn't stop fans from getting excited.

Given the divide between Marvel Studios and Marvel Television, the chances of Clint Barton making the leap to the small screen have to be somewhere between slim and none and that's something Renner has pretty much confirmed in a new interview. He remains hopeful it could happen, though!

"It’s not a decision I get to make," the actor explained while promoting his new film, Wind River. "It’s not an option that has been on the table ever. But any way I get to explore the Clint Barton/Hawkeye character is always interesting to me." He'll get to do that next in Avengers: Infinity War and also Avengers 4. As you can see below, he's reported to the set of the movie and is ready for action.

Would you like to see Hawkeye or any other MCU characters brought to Netflix? Sound off below.

No Netflix...unless he appears in DD or the other defenders.

Just do a Ghost Rider Netflix series.

@Nightwing1015 - That would work. He basically made season 4. Maybe even expand on that Johnny Blaze stuff. I am curious as to why he gave the Ghost Rider powers.

@Origame - I would just make it a johnny blaze series. And eventually crossover with two ghost riders.

@SkrullCipher - Oh snap that could work!

Why do people keep asking him? It's the same answer over and over again. We all know it. But I'd still love to see a Hawkeye series though. Based off of Fraction's IMMACULATE run.

@SecretWarrior - Fraction/Aja

@BlackBeltJones - Dude. why do you have to depress me? that run is ideal to be adapted to Netflix and it won't ever happen... boooo. I swear when I saw AOU I got depressed that Marvel took him in a direction away from this; I'd so support "that" Hawkeye being a Skrull purely so they do this storyline!! (yeah not holding my breath for that though lol_

@write33 - I would support Hawkeye as a Skrull too if it lead to this.

I'D SUPPORT KILLING HIS FAMILY OFF. Or at least putting them in some sort of WITSEC and him losing them

@BlackBeltJones - Me too, at the risk of being horribly morbid......'having kids myself....... him being so despondent after they're dead, he wanders into the heart of a crappy part of NY, just looking to crash and not care about anything, and then finds a new "family" to fight for?? Plus it could introduce Kate as a way to get him back in the superhero game / pass the torch too...... It so could work!!!

Put him in a black widow prequel. And put peggy in there too as some mother figure.

Time to kill all these birds with one stone.

If Marvel is going to branch out even further on Netflix...It has to be Moon Knight

@MonsterSquad35 - I agree but i think that Blade and Ghost Rider (Johnny Blaze) deserve a spot first

MonsterSquad35 - 8/9/2017, 5:46 AM
@Ha1frican - @Ha1frican - True. The reason I push Moon Knight more to the front of the line is because he's never had a shot. Ghost Rider, two god awful movies and one meh TV spot. But I'd add him after the fact to a Moon Knight Netflix universe...same with Blade. Wesley killed it, but again, it had a shot. Let's get Moon Knight going!!!

@MonsterSquad35 - id like if they maybe do a phase style like the films with the netflix series and maybe rather than just keep doing defenders (which i like and want more of) they do a phase of like the supernatural characters like Blade, Ghost Rider, Moon Knight (debatable whether he is actually supernatural or just crazy) Morbius, and maybe Iron Fist idk anyone else and have them have their own Justice League Dark style supernatural team, and then have the next phase be like all military oe espionage based characters akin to Hawkeye and Widow and just doing a different team every time or rotating between a few
