Comic book fans are used to Thanos having a certain look both in those and his big screen appearances in the Guardians of the Galaxy and Avengers movies. However, literally everything we've seen of him in Avengers: Infinity War has featured the Mad Titan wearing casual clothing which is a big departure from his normal armour. So, what's the deal with Thanos being decked out in such unusual attire?
In the video below, co-director Joe Russo explains that Thanos doesn't need it because the power of the Infinity Stones means his "warlord" armour is no longer of use to him. It's also a "philosophical" decision that's "symbolic" of how powerful he is now he's finally wielding the Infinity Gauntlet.
Be sure to watch the whole thing, though, as Russo also weighs in how he and his brother Anthony are handing Thanos' journey and the fact that the destruction of that planet at the Mad Titan's hands in the Avengers: Infinity War is just the beginning and the final act blows even his mind! Sounds suitably epic, eh? As always, be sure to share your thoughts on these details in the comments section below.
