Joe Russo Teases ANT-MAN AND THE WASP's Connections To AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR

With Ant-Man and The Wasp coming out between Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers 4, a lot of fans are wondering how exactly Scott Lang's next solo adventure will play out and in what way it will connect to both of these movies (it's already been confirmed that he and Hope Van Dyne will show up in Avengers 4). Well, co-director Joe Russo has now shed at least a little more light on that.

While he doesn't provide a definitive answer, the filmmaker made it clear that Ant-Man and The Wasp will have a part to play in proceedings. "They all lead in in their own way," he explained. "From a plot standpoint, if there’s any corollary, Ant-Man and the Wasp probably has some elements that stitch in." Before he could say too much, though, Anthony added: "But we can’t talk about that."

Things are obviously being kept secret for a reason and it's easy to imagine either one of these heroes popping up either for a brief cameo appearance in Avengers: Infinity War or doing something in Ant-Man and The Wasp which helps set the stage for the respective roles in Avengers 4. Either way, there's no way their upcoming movie is going to be able to ignore Thanos and his Black Order invading Earth!

Well of course that film is going to have to connect to Avengers 3 & 4 in some way. It has to stand on its own, but if there was no connection at all that wouldn't make sense.

@DoubleD - I usually never comment on box office, but I’m gonna say nah. I don’t see a Paul Rudd comedy pulling that many people in.

Last year there was photos taken of Dr. Strange & Ant-Man together filming Infinity War...maybe that was the post credit scene. Of course Ant-Man could have a bigger role...hopefully the new trailer will tell us something.

They could put Thanos in the Quantum Realm

@DocStranger - Conversely, I was thinking some of the Avengers might end up in the Quantum Realm at the end of Infinifty War (and thought to be dead), and Ant Man and Wasp find them and bring them back.
Or they find the Soul stone hidden in the Quantum Realm?
