Avengers: Infinity War is shaping up to be one of the biggest superhero movies of all-time and that's mostly down to the fact it brings together pretty much every character that's ever appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. What's so exciting about that? Well, it boils down to all these heroes meeting up for the first time, especially as the majority of them have never crossed paths before now.

In a recent interview to promote the release of Thor: Ragnarok, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige was asked about shooting the superhero ensemble and had a surprising response in regards to what it's been like. It turns out that seeing all these characters together makes for an emotional experience!

"I don’t know if anything surprises me necessarily, but it is overwhelming. I guess what has surprised me is how emotional it all is. Every day, every dailies, every time an actor that has never interacted with a character comes in contact with a character they’ve never interacted with, it’s amazing. It’s both funny, it’s moving and just seeing all those people together in one spot is—you know me, I like to look ahead. I like to focus on, I’m already in Black Panther world, even though we’re talking about Ragnarok. We keep going. There is something very special about those movies that is happening everyday on set. It’s not just the crew that feels it, or me that feels it, it’s all the cast who are all mega-stars in their own right, yet feel privileged to be doing what they’re doing every day. Joe and Anthony handling it, two movies at the same time, in an unprecedented fashion."

The possibilities really are endless: Spider-Man and Star-Lord; Iron Man and Rocket Raccoon; Captain America and Korg. Who knows how many characters will meet for the first time but if Feige is blown away by it, it's fair to say that Avengers: Infinity War will knock our socks off next year! What do you guys think about these remarks? As always, be sure to let us know your thoughts in the usual place.

@TheBigkahuna - it took 10 years before Edgar Wright was ready to film Ant Man and then walked away... in 10 years Marvel Studios turned out over 17 films, two of which are Avengers team ups along with Civil War and Ragnarok storylines.

Feige is a steam roller.

@MrBillCipher - The last time I longed for a trailer like this was during the wait for Civil war and now marvel is doing the same with Infinity war.

It has been emotional indeed. Infinity war will add more emotion to the MCU

@PantherKing - Man, I wish Marvel wasn't so lighthearted, though...

@Spock0Clock - They have to be. What’s going on the planet now with shooting and terrorism we need an escape not something to make us remember what’s happening outside the movies.

@PantherKing - I was being sarcastic. :)

My point was there is actually a lot of emotional weight in them, and the lighter moments help mask and leaven it so it doesn't become too heavy.

@Spock0Clock - oh I didn’t read through the sarcasm but you’re right they do a good job at masking the heavy movies

@Spock0Clock - The light hearted or positive aspect to it is a balance and appreciated. No one wants to sit through a dark movie that never lightens up. That would be similar to this year's blade runner which bombed at the box office.
Don't forget marvel has had serious storylines like: unknowingly dating the daughter of your enemy, a wo-worker's best friend murdering your parents, people's children being threatened by their enemy, loved ones being killed, let alone cities or entire planets bound for destruction.
People really need to get over the fact that someone like a high school kid jokes or a multi-billionaire is sarcastic to people he regards as lessers, or that a child taken from earth as an adolescent still lives in that time period mentally, or the spoiled son of a lying king to a throne is a frat-mentality jock that needs some life lessons.
