There was a lot of hype surrounding Katherine Langford's role in
Avengers: Endgame leading up to the release of the movie, but when we finally saw the epic ensemble, she was nowhere to be seen!
It was later revealed that the
Knives Out star was going to play an adult Morgan Stark who would have met her father in the same "Waystation" Thanos crossed paths with Gamora in in
Avengers: Infinity War. That sequence recently popped up on Disney+, and during a recent interview, Langford talked about what it was like to learn she had been cut from the movie.
"It's a weird thing because...you're just perpetually terrified that you're going to spoil something," Langford said. "I mean, I'm such a huge fan of the Marvel films and the Russo brothers, so when Marvel reached out to me to play Iron Man's daughter, that was such an honor."
"And ultimately it didn't make it into the film, and creatively, like, that makes sense and that's totally fine. I was just content with having the memory in my head." As for why she believes it was added to the streaming service, she adds: "I heard that's why it's out though. That's what I was told. It was literally out because people wanted to see it. Which is also really cool."
Langford is a talented actress and it's easy to imagine Marvel Studios finding a different role for her somewhere down the line, especially as her role as Morgan was only in a deleted scene.
