AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR's Massive Budget Revealed; Presale Ticket Sales Closing In On STAR WARS
More details on how Avengers: Infinity War is doing in terms of presale ticket sales have been revealed today as has news on how much the epic MCU movie cost Marvel Studios to make. Check it out...
You don't need us to tell you that Avengers: Infinity War is going to be a box office hit but some new details have emerged today which once again point to the Marvel Studios movie breaking a lot of the records set by Star Wars: The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi. According to The Wall Street Journal, it's already sold more than $50 million of advance tickets and is behind only those two releases in all-time presales. That's one heck of a feat but the good news for the movie actually keeps on coming.
Various surveys of moviegoers point to interest in seeing Avengers: Infinity War being well beyond the two Star Wars movies mentioned above (and other comparable blockbusters) so Disney has obviously done a great job in getting people invested in seeing The Avengers meet the Guardians of the Galaxy.
So, a record breaking debut is a given but it's unlikely to debut with one of the all-time highest debuts at the worldwide box office because the movie's Chinese release isn't happening until May 11th.
Now, the information I'm guessing you're really here for is how much Avengers: Infinity War cost to make. Well, according to the site, the production budget was close to $300 million so those reports that Disney was spending $500 million in total on each instalment (including marketing, obviously) were probably accurate. Are you excited to check it out next week? We're guessing the answer is yes!
