Bendis went on to explain why he believes the Thor movie will the biggest surprise of Marvel’s upcoming film slate:

“Thor is an extravaganza,” said Bendis. “The artwork is unbelievable… They flew us all here because Kenneth Branagh wanted to tell us his Thor movie and he pitched it live. It was Shakespearean and went on for hours.”

“He wasn’t high selling it,” continued Bendis. “He is an actor and he just sold it. I looked to Joe [Quesada] and went ‘Isn’t this fun?’ When he was done, we were like ‘Great! You should do that!’”

I wont hold my breath for POWERS though lol, (forgot its not IMAGE COMICS no more), im still [frick]ing waiting for the MOON KNIGHT tv series that MARVEL promised!! ; D

MARVEL is the worst for live action shows, atleast DC does what they say tv wise!

Oh and ACKLES is HAWKEYE!!!

I'm glad the reception for thor is already good. Branagh will own that movie. Can't believe i gotta wait till 2011. Thor will rock. Spiderman 4 will be reused crap. And Green Lantern will be the start of a new era for DC.

You have your right to not want Ackles to play Cap and to
play Hawkeye just as others have their right to want Ackles
for Cap. I thought of Ackles for Hawkeye too before all
this Jensen for Cap madness! lol

I'm not that vehement about whoever plays Cap! Just want
the best actor for the job who can make Cap come alive on
the silver screen!

I still think they need to be careful with how they handle Thor - if it ends up too much like Lord of the Rings in both setting and running time its going to put offa HUGE amount of the general movie going audience. I just hope that Brannagh remembers that this is a superhero movie and not just an Asgardian LOTR!

Bendis' involvement doesnt inspire too much hope in me either - some of his stuff can be ok but he isnt a great writer IMO.

The running time for a movie should never matter as long as the film holds its audience. Thor should be at least two hours and intertwine all elements of the characters. I as well as others would have no interest in an hour and a half Thor movie, or any other superhero driven movie. Length plus quality is a great thing, and no penis jokes please.

it also says he was gonna be called Moonblood originally, with silver gauntlets(to fight werewolf by night)this might take me a while to find this issue(it was a special)sorry!it has original plans for his helicopter in it too, they looked terrible tho, basically a helicopter with a half crescent moon stuck on the back of it!vertically I need to add!

man I can't find it!It was in a series of specials that were published in the UK in the 80's, still had Doug Moench & Bill Sienkiewicz attached.It was when Marc Spector had to confront his deranged brother, who was wearing a fright mask and killing nurses!Anyone remember this?when I have more time will track it down!Who would make a good Moon Knight?
