Firg's Fabulous Review of Mark Ruffalo.

While everybody's critiquing the movie, we will look further in the movie and critique the most polarizing character on Hollywood apart from Tim Tebow.

Back in 2010, SDCC, we were introduced to the Avengers project. A project so massive that it would take five prequels to get the movie started. All the familiar characters comes back except for that scrawny guy. This certainly didn't go well with the fans. They wanted the scrawny guy and to make matters worst; they got a scrawnier guy to play Dr. Banner on screen.

People wondered if Marvel Executive Kevin Feige is somewhat sabotaging his own creation(he fired Howard first, then Favreau, then got rid of Norton). Then he gave us a replacement that looks like your English professor.

Ruffalo's resume although impressive; it lacks the 200 million dollar movie blockbuster in there. Ruffalo is also more notable in the indie film community. People questioned this hiring and rightfully so. Why tamper with something good(having Norton as Dr. Banner)? You messed up the continuity Feige!

Now that the whole world has been presented with the final product. I am glad to say that Ruffalo is this generation's Banner. He's awkward, weird, he breaks his sentences, and he actually looks and feels like a doctor in his 40's.

From his grey hair to his hairy chest, he looks like a nerd that has this little secret.

Ruffalo's portrayal is so compelling that his Banner didn't feel forced onto us, but they easily worked him in the script. His lines were sharp and thoroughly delivered. I mean the man pauses on every single phrase. It is quite refreshing to hear lines delivered like that, distinctive to say the least. Simply put he is the polar opposite of RDJ's Tony Stark.

Contrary to his amazing delivery (I am not really anal about body language), but I found Ruffalo's body language a little unrealistic. In many scenes he stands there with this sense of conviction and confidence that is reserve to characters like Steve Rogers and Thor. He gave off too much swag when he's around the other guys. A little slouch, a bit of clumsiness would've balanced his performance.

With all that said, Ruffalo's Hulk is probably the best out of the 3 Hulk incarnations. It's big, burly, and has a nice hue. The details are simply phenomenal. Details such as armpit hair, chest hair, facial hair and its very menacing eye brows makes for one scary looking dude. And did I mention that he has perfect teeth structure?

Hulk kicking ants and sucker punching gods is hilarious to say the least. Fortunately this Hulk is more than that. They finally showed what it is capable of. Punching that Fishtank while transforming is powerful and engaging. It got you pumped! After that scene the audiences were told that Hulk has arrived and will now proceed to eat babies.

With a very good Banner, a very menacing Hulk; we finally get the Hulk we have waited for. This pair will likely spin-off into a movie and we will delve deeper then.

Thank you for reading. Unfortunately I don't like boobs. P.S. Father Hulk

First f yeah!!! and i agree but not completely i actually wasnt a big fan of norton he didnt act like a geeky scientist he was basically an action hero and then his hulk was never really out of controlso to me that movie had a lot of work gone into but laked the emotion of the original characters in the performance ; so when rufalo was anounced i jumped on one leg coz i knew rufalo can bring a lot of emotion into a character and not even that prepared me for " STOP LYING TO ME!!"

Personally, Norton in the last hulk film did not convince me to be a nerdy genius that had made himself into a beast through a gone wrong experiment. He came off to be quite honest just as a disturbed, tempered person with a curse. That's all I really felt in last hulk, so I was very weary to expect a believable character out of the hulk in the Avengers. However I have to say Ruffalo's performance as Dr.Banner was Amazing, his awkward body language and paused sentences reflected the image of a quite genius trying desperately to make good his existence. He seemed more relatable in this particular film because they didn't just portray him as this out of control person with a temper. Brilliant writing exposed Dr.Banner as who he really is, an incredibly smart gamma expert that caused his unfortunate curse. Thankyou Mark Ruffalo for bringing to life again our beloved superhero.

I watched the The Avengers and it was FREAKING AWESOME! I like them all but the Hulk/Bruce Banner STANDOUT among the rest. Mark Ruffalo did an AMAZING job and he gave JUSTICE to Hulk/Bruce Banner compared to the other 2 Hulk movies. Marvel and Disney made an EXCELLENT decision for giving the role to Mark Ruffalo. We NEED a new Hulk movie of Mark Ruffalo! WE NEED MORE!

Sincerely,
The Universe
