In recent weeks, it's become clear that Marvel Studios will play a big role in Disney's planned streaming service as Loki, the Scarlet Witch, and The Falcon and The Winter Soldier are all expected to receive big budget, limited series' on the platform. Now, Kevin Feige has weighed in on what's on the way and while he was quick to point out that nothing is confirmed, it's sounding good!
"Well, it’s not a hundred percent complete yet, so there’s only so much I’m allowed to say, or so much they even tell me," he teased. "But Paul mentioned the streaming service, and I think that is something that we’re going to be adding content to, which is exciting."
"I love your analogy with the campfire, right? As many people as you can get around the campfire and tell stories. Campfires can be different: We are going to tell stories for the streaming service that we wouldn’t be able to tell in a theatrical experience — a longer-form narrative, that’s what comics are, it’s about as longform a narrative as exists."
"But also maintaining that theatrical experience, which is our bread and butter, and the lines around the block, if you’re lucky," he concluded. So, while many fans have assumed that these characters are getting shows because they're not "worthy" of a movie, the truth is that their stories simply need to be told outside the constraints of a two-hour movie.
It's certainly going to be interesting seeing how these shows impact the Marvel Cinematic Universe and if they mean the characters featured will take a back seat on the big screen. Regardless, with Feige in charge, they're definitely in good hands and better ones than the poor Inhumans...

X-Men/Fantastic Four character returning to the MCU!
Wolverine
Fox chose to end Wolverine's story with last year's Logan and while we've all wondered how the studio would go about replacing Hugh Jackman, it turns out that they'll never get the opportunity. There's no way Marvel will sit on the character, though, and what will be interesting is seeing whether or not they try to convince Hugh Jackman to return or start from scratch with a new solo outing for the mutant.
