Further aligning the strength of Marvel's hugely popular characters and stories with the burgeoning Disney XD brand and global reach, an all-new animated series, The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes, will debut in fall 2010 on Disney XD and DisneyXD.com.

The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes will introduce audiences to some of Marvel’s all-time favorite characters including Iron Man, Hulk, Captain America, Thor, Giant Man and Wasp. When the planet is threatened by Super Villains, time traveling conquerors, alien invaders, mythical monsters and mad robots bent on the total destruction of humanity, when forces of evil are so overwhelming that no single hero has the power to save the world, when there is no hope left… the Avengers assemble!

Yeah, great stuff!

They're trying to make another Marvel Animated Universe with such upcoming projects as The Avengers and Ultimate Spider-Man series.

Btw, The Avengers will air on 22 of October!

All I ask is it be better than that other Avengers show. "United We Stand" or whatever it's called? I still don't understand what they were going for.

The only thing that I absolutely loathe about this is Wasp's [frick]ing costume!! D:

lt's terrible!!

well, this looks corny. it'll probably be as corny as the 90's marvel cartoons(excluding x-men). Those anime marvel cartoons look more interesting, imo. Looks like the guys who drew those campy heroes on the powerpuff girls did this, lol

rolanddeschain - 8/2/2010, 9:26 AM
you know it's gonna be campy when you see hawkeye smiling, smh... thumbs down

Remember defenders of the earth? that was a cool cartoon. Why can't they reboot that one?

The Black Panther has always been a strong enough personality that I don't think you could ever refer to him as a token anything, especially where the Avengers are concerned.

It's better than that Superhero Squad Show crap.

Intruder: I'm saying if it would have been Falcon or Luke Cage I would agree with you. The Black Panther wasn't used as a token hero on the team when he was introduced in the 60's. Marvel used him in very strong anti racism stories with the team.

Marvel also wants to use him in a solo movie or TV show. There is nothing token about the Black Panther being in this cartoon he is an imprtant part of the team and its promotional.

Again, if it was any other black hero I would agree with you. Not the Panther. He never has nor do I think will he ever be, used in a token capacity.

Those are some UGLY character designs, but maybe the stories will be good. Hey, at least THIS team of Avengers has Pyms! I'll definitely give this a chance. Hey, it can't be worse than that 90's Avengers cartoon.

The animation style looks a bit "meh" but I'll give it a chance as long as it's not too childish. I like the line-up as well...if only Marvel Studios would follow suit and include Ant-Man and Wasp in The Avengers! :P

how Black Panther token so what his the only black character in the group. i believe they using Ultimate Nick Fury in the cartoon aswell.

comicb00kguy
comicb00kguy - 8/2/2010, 1:05 PM
the character designs are ugly, but the video shows some pretty cool villains, and everyone is wearing their proper costumes. There is also a good lineup of heroes in the team.

Also, I have to say I'm really disappointed to hear of the cancellation of Wolverine and the X-Men. They were gonna do the Age of Apocalypse, which is one of my all-time favorite stories. Damn networks. Give them crap shows, they'll run them forever, give them something good, and they can't wait to get rid of it.
