On Location Vacation reported earlier this week that Captain American: The First Avenger was doing re-shoots in LA, but according to them a source close to Marvel says that they have wrapped shooting and that it maybe The Avengers shooting.

Reports On Location Vacation:

As we reported Tuesday, we have reason to believe that Captain America is doing re-shoots in Los Angeles. There have been signs posted and permits issued for filming around the city under the production name “Frostbite” which was the same production name Captain America used while filming in the U.K.

Since we posted that original story, we were told by another source that according to the people at Marvel, Captain America has completely wrapped and they are not doing any further shoots for the movie. But, it was also hinted that the signs may in fact be for The Avengers, which is in pre-production in Los Angeles and New Mexico.

To further complicate things On Location Vacation have obtained some set photos from Universal Studios that bare a resemblance and contain similar signage to the set photos taken in England.

Here is the set photo from England:

It could also be that the Avengers movie will contain a Cap flashback to the 1940's. I think Whedon script doctored CA and it would be plausible that he needs a scene in the Avengers that brings out something from Cap's past.
