Following the news that Christopher Nolan would be filming The Dark Knight Rises in the US city, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette have discovered that it's not the only 2012 comic book movie heading their way. Here is a brief excerpt from their report.
Finally got confirmation that the production will do what it's calling "secondary filming about an hour outside Pittsburgh" although actors will not be here. Even without cast members, "Avengers" will be in Western Pennsylvania (apparently Butler area) at the same time as "The Dark Knight Rises" is shooting.
Secondary filming, with no actors...not exactly the most exciting of news I know, but I was told the same thing about
Captain America: The First Avenger last year (when they were filming in Caerwent, Wales) and the recent trailer clearly showed that both Chris Evans and actors like Sebastian Stan were in fact in attendance! Either way, those of you who live locally should keep an eye out, as anything to do with this movie is bound to be worth seeing!
