Secret Invasion started a trend for Marvel. It began story arches involving villainous super heroes. When the lines become blurred between good and evil, it makes for extremely relatable and compelling story lines. Than came a comic pioneer Dark Avengers. Dark Avengers was released a few months ago and has become a sensation. DA is the first comic series I have really started collecting. I usually am just a graphic novel guy. However, I find the story fascinating. I love that it is the villains that are posing as heroes, while the heroes are no where to be found. Iron man was kicked out of S.H.I.E.L.D. and disgraced. The story lines, thus far have been awesome. Now Marvel is announcing that there is going to be a Dark X-Men story line and has been posting Dossiers on some of the new members (which can be found here http://marvel.com/news/comicstories.8208.The_Weekly_Watcher%7Ecolon%7E_May_29%2C_2009) Here is a preview of the cover of Dark Avengers/Dark X-Men: Utopia 1.
I am stoked for Dark Avengers/Dark X-Men: Utopia 1 to come out. I love anti-hero stories and there is nothing better than villains (posing as heroes) going after one another in the name of what they feel is good. Great concept. This is why I am more of a Marvel fan. Not to mention that the art work on Dark Avengers is absurdly great. What do you think about Dark Avengers and the upcoming Dark X-Men? What characters do you think will make for good future story lines. Also, how did you about the Secret Invasion story arch?
