Yes, finally we can watch the original Batman television series, titled Batman, in our own homes. Conan O'Brien recently took to Twitter to reveal the big news! O'Brien's late night talk show, Conan, airs on TBS (who is affiliated with Warner Brothers), so that could be the reason why he was the one to reveal it (along with being a fan). This will be the first time fans can get their hands on the complete series, as there has been a dispute between 20th Century Fox and Warner Brothers for several years over the rights to the show. Perhaps the new Gotham show patched things together? Below is the tweet from Mr. O'Brien.

So, how do you guys feel about the big news? Do you plan on completing your Batman collection, or do you prefer to leave the days filled of bad puns and camp behind? Sound off below!

But will the series be released in its entirety, or will they be editing out the episodes with the Green Hornet, Col. Clink from HOGAN'S HEROES, and Lurch from ADDAMS FAMILY, as well as the other guest stars who made cameos through a window while Batman & Robin climbed up the side of buildings? I had heard that getting the rights to those characters was the last major hurdle in getting the series released on DVD, so I am wondering if they were able to get the rights to use those characters or if those scenes will be removed?

To all the 1966 Batman ridiculers posting crap comments, this release is for the fans who actually watched the series in the 60's and reruns in the 70's. It's not for you kids in your 20's and 30's who are still developing identities. Adam West IS Batman just like Clayton Moore IS The Lone Ranger. The big boys will watch Batman while you play with your Beyblades and little GI Joes.
