A very long time ago, Warner Bros. released a teaser trailer for Batman Begins which made it clear that Christopher Nolan's reboot was going to be unlike anything that had preceeded it. As you can see by rewatching it below, it included a monologue from Christian Bale's Bruce Wayne which didn't make it into the movie and has never been found in any of the movie's deleted or extended scenes. So, why wasn't it in Batman Begins? Addressing fan questions on Reddit (via IGN) today, Jonathan Nolan finally provided an answer. "I wrote this in a couple hours in my brother’s trailer while he was shooting the scene in which Bruce is arrested for stealing Wayne corp supplies on his 'journey,'" he confirmed. "Remains some of my favorite writing from these films. Was written specifically for the trailer. Wouldn’t have worked in the film." So, there you have it; you can finally sleep at night! Do you guys think Ben Affleck's Batman will top Christian Bale's Dark Knight?
