Best Batman....Bruce Wayne, not so much. I'd give that to Bale

lol, yeah that slight lisp really defined his performance as Batman huh?? Keaton was very good but I'd rather a movie world in which he doesn't battle an army of penguins with [frick]ing rocket launchers thank you very much.

Great stuff Ed. I just watched The Fighter. Frackkin great film. And Bale proves AGAIN that he is one of the best actors around today.

oh yeah,i forgot as well that stupid put on deep voice when his dress as batman is crap as well.

overall batman begins & the dark knight are pretty decent films less comic booky but are better than the burton films, but i still think micheal keaton is the better batman.

I did prefer Keaton's whisper over Bale's growl I'll give you that. But the other elements of the character..as well as Wayne's appearance(a tall, handsome playboy type instead of, well, Michael Keaton!) evens it out. Both great, but I prefer Nolan's movies.

@Godzillafart you read my mind, what I hate about Nolan's Batman is the fact that he's not really a detective, that's something I've always missed from all the batman movies and then the fact that he doesn't look like somebody who could kick a super ass as he usually do it in the comics or tv shows.

"Batman dead end" rocks!

1. Batman Returns was an amazing movie. The penguins were awesome! The movie was gritty and dark while still having the fun elements of a comic book movie. All you haters can [frick] off.
2.This archive stuff always pisses me off cause I think at first its new batman news. ughhh

Ror-- I just watched the fighter myself. Bale is great in that. He's so good that my mind stops believing it's Bale. I see and hear only his character, awesome.

@Godzillafart dude bale batman did detective work in the dark knight if you didn't see he found the bullet that was used using a machine. and he made up the new suit but he didn't have the technology that fox has to make the suit. and his Bruce is better than all the other he has that and is better looking than all the other actors( no homo)and his voice is good he does a scary voice people would be scared of just by hearing him talk, and he seem tough taking out the cops and joker goons all at once is the craziest and toughest thing i ever seen batman do so by that you can see he can kick anyone ass like when he took on 5 ninjas in bb. and batman has always been a douche i bet if you pick up a comic or see a cartoon movie you"ll see thats his a douche and only nice sometimes. bale is the best batman/Bruce of all the past batman even the ones who done voices cover for cartoon. and then is heath the greatest joker performance ever no one tops him that ever done joker before.

CaptainProg- agreed bale and Colan and heath is the greatest thing that ever happen to batman movies.

Wtf? Christian Bale doesn't have a lisp!!! Do you even know what a lisp actually is? Well I suppose he does do this weird backward thing with his bottom lip when he pronounces the letter S (LIKE TOBY MAGUIRE!) but isnt a lisp. He's the best Batman so far, IMO.
Maybe if he didn't make his voice so weird when Batman. He should talk like when he does when he's with Rachel in the BatCave in Begins!

Being the World's Greatest Detective comes from years of experience. As of TDK, the Batman was only a year or so into his career. As for being the charming playboy that's a bit of a douche, Bruce Wayne does that very well in public when he has to. Remember the lunch meeting with Rachel Dawes and Harvey Dent? However, at the end of the day, Bruce Wayne is a conflicted man with deep seated trauma and mild sociopathic tendencies. That's why it's possible for him to be the Batman that he is.

@ boyle360

he doesn't speak properly thats what i'm getting at & that shit he does with his voice sucks.

i get it you can't say anything bad about batman, nolan or bale.

i said the films are good, but i think keaton is a better batman.

@ brazilianbatman

you can't have an opinion on here,i said batman begins & the dark knight are better films.

but keaton is better as batman, not to worry after the third one it'll get rebooted with a different actor & a retelling of the origin again.

hopefully we get a proper costume this time like in the comics or animated shows.
flames809
flames809 - 1/11/2011, 11:01 AM
marvel- how proper you want it to get. batman begins and the dark knight are the only movies that got as close as possible don't you see the arkum game how batman suit is all the protection it has, so the Nolan movies are no different than the suit of that game. and i respect your opinion and everyone else.

Michael Keaton was an overrated hack of a Bruce Wayne and even stiffer as Batman.

He belongs up there with Clooney as a shitty Bats

The animated series Batman from the 90's...Kevin Conroy portrayed the best ideal voice for both Batman and Bruce Wayne IMO. But an animated series is a different dynamic than a film to compare the two portrayal's. Christian Bale did good but not great with the Batman voice. Again just my opinion.

If they do reboot yet again after the third film...they need an actor that surpass all previous...including the voice of Kevin Conroy. But who can do that?

What is everyone's obsession with Keaton as Bruce Wayne/Batman. I vaguely get it, he was the first actor to portray him in a big budget movie. But in no way does Keaton respect the Bruce Wayne/Batman I love in the comics. Keaton is a tiny, 5 foot 6 inch tall, man. Batman is supposed to be over 6 feet tall and Bale almost satisfies that requirement as well as a slight resemblance in the facial features. So Keaton can [frick] off.

@ flames809

all i'm saying is a costume with less body armour & shit that fires from his gloves & night vision/sonar stuff, the movement of the costume is very restricted.

i would love to see batman dodge bullet fire than stand their & take it.
