Debunking all sorts of rumors about the next Batman Movie!

This is from Yahoo's entertainment news. Basically, what this boils down to is we really don't know ANYTHING about the next Batman movie (IF it happens), and we should NEVER believe anything from the Sun. I might be alone, but I still think "Hush" would be a great villain for Nolan's Bat-Universe. Enjoy the article!

1. The Fact Check - Debunking Batman Rumors
Megan Fox is not going to be Catwoman. Let's get that out of the way right now. When E! Online asked Fox's publicist if she really had been cast in the role, the reply was, "Megan is a huge fan of the Batman movies and of director Christopher Nolan but these discussions have not taken place."

So why were outlets worldwide reporting last week that Fox would be playing Batman's feline foe in the next movie? The original report was published in the "Gordon Smart's Bizarre" section of the British tabloid "The Sun" on the 26th. It popped up all across the Internet within hours, and it took less than a day for the studio to refute it. "It's rumor. It's not true," a source at Warner Bros. told Access Hollywood. "There is no script. There is no project to be cast in."

What's odd is this is not the first time a patently false claim about the next Batman movie was made by the same columnist. In December, Gordon Smart reported that Eddie Murphy had been cast as the Riddler and Shia LaBeouf would play Robin. That was quickly denied by Murphy's camp. Other reports said Phillip Seymour Hoffman would play the Penguin, but he told MTV, "No one has talked to me about it ever."

For fans of "The Dark Knight," it has been frustrating not to have any news about when, or if Batman will return to the screen. And for entertainment reporters, it's been just as frustrating not having any real information to present to an obviously interested public. Rest assured, when Christopher Nolan and the studio have something official to announce, they'll do it in the Hollywood trades and major newspapers, not some unreliable rag.

I think the Sun just prints these articles to sell papers. They know what people want to see(anything having to do about a new Batman movie) and they are not above being douche bags to print bull crap to earn a pretty penny, even if it's fake.

At least the Depp rumor is believable

Some of these rumors are just ridiculous like Eddie Murphy for the riddler. I would believe them if they said Depp, thats plausable but Murphy... come on!!!

Depp for riddler

I didn't hear the Shia LaBeouf rumor but he could work as Robin. Depp for Riddler oh yeah! Just don't replace batman with another actor, and the same goes for gordon, alfred and lucious. I can't stand when sequels do that...your'e not katie holmes

I heard nothing in this article about Cher being cast as Catwoman either. Horrible idea though! And Phillip Seymour Hoffman said he wouldn't do it even IF he was approached because he is a fan of these types of movies, and he wouldn't want to ruin the magic for himself by being involved in it.

@ Flames,if this will be Nolan helmed, we will NOT see Robin. Both he and Christian Bale said as long as they are involved they won't do it. I for one rejoice at this news. Robin is a Beeatch! Never could stand his punk a$$!
