Both Mark Hamill's performance as the Joker in Batman: The Animated Series and Michael Keaton's performance as Batman in Batman: The Movie share a number of interesting similarities. In a recent interview, Mark Hamill stated that the controversy surrounding Michael Keaton's casting as Batman helped him feel more secure when he was auditioning for the role of the Joker. This information was gleaned from a recent interview with Mark Hamill.

There was a big commotion when it was revealed that Keaton would be playing Batman, with many people questioning his capability of portraying the character. Nevertheless, Hamill recalled how people had underrated Keaton's skill by condemning him before they had even seen him act. Hamill said that this was particularly galling.

This provided Hamill with a sense of confidence because he believed that if they were willing to cast Keaton, then they would not consider him for the role of the Joker.

During auditions, actors frequently suffer from performance anxiety because they are extremely driven to get cast in the role for which they are trying out. Despite this, Hamill maintained a cool and collected demeanor throughout the entirety of the Joker audition because he was under the impression that he would not be chosen for the role. Because of this, he was able to do his portrayal of the Joker without experiencing the pressure that is normally present in such situations.

Hamill was taken aback when he was eventually offered the role of the Joker, which resulted in a significant change in his temperament. Although he initially felt overwhelmed and thought he wouldn't be able to manage it, he accepted the challenge and discovered that playing the character of the Joker was really fulfilling.

Members of the Batman fan community have given Mark Hamill a lot of praise for his portrayal of the Joker in Batman: The Animated Series. It is widely acknowledged that his interpretation of the Joker is one of the more fascinating takes on the character.

Hamill has continued to provide the voice of the Joker for a number of other projects, including the animated film Batman: The Killing Joke and the Batman: Arkham video game series.

It is noteworthy that both Mark Hamill and Kevin Conroy, who voiced Batman in the animated series, reprised their roles as the Joker and Batman, respectively, in the Batman: Arkham video game series.

Both actors are credited with the character of Batman in the animated series. Conroy and Hamill enjoyed a fruitful professional relationship, and Hamill had the highest regard and admiration for his colleague.
