We finally thought we could put this one to rest. But despite solid sources seeming to confirm Levitt's charter in Christopher Nolan's Batman threequel, EW state that someone on their end close to the production has debunked this..



Joseph Gordon-Levitt, long-rumored to be joining his Inception brethren in The Dark Knight Rises, will appear in director Christopher Nolan’s third Batman film. But a source close to the situation says that recent reports that Gordon-Levitt will play Alberto Falcone (a.k.a. the Holiday Killer) — the son of former mob kingpin, Carmine Falcone (Tom Wilkinson) — are incorrect. So, Batman fans: Begin the re-speculation now!


I'm not posting this one as a dead cert despite EW's reliability. At the moment it's just one source(Variety) against the other. But EW seem fairly certain that we can scratch Falcone from the list. And if that's the case, let the guessing game commence once more!

Why cant you people just wait until the movie comes out or until it is officially announced. Do you have to know everything about about the movie before it comes out for crying out loud. Maybe he is a secret character that no one wants us to know about until we see the film. Every day some body have this so-called special source that thinks they know who is playing who in the movie. When they want you to know who the character is they will let you know lol

Hope he plays Nightwing but makes me think, if Bane somehow takes out Batman, what if Joseph Gordon Levitt character take over as the new Batman. Bruce could be training him to take over and continue his legacy.
