The site was flooded with images of the Batwing flying around the streets of Pittsburgh a few months ago, then a few weeks later we saw some videos of a low flying Batwing and soon after that a few pictures of what seemed to be a test flight with a helicopter - and now we finally see some more pictures of the Batwing on set in Los Angeles.

Check out these latest images from Eye Prime taken on The Dark Knight Rises Set

Batman: The Dark Knight Rises’ films scenes with flying cars in downtown LA on October 15, 2011.

The latest film in the Batman saga closed down the streets of Los Angeles for their latest action scene. A six block radius was closed down whilst a helicopter airlifted cars around the city.

They call it a flying car - we know it to be the Batwing! I have added four of the best pictures here but be sure to check out the rest by clicking the link at the foot of the article.

Be sure to head on over to Eye Prime to see the other photos.

What do you think? I really wasn't a huge fan of how it looked during the day on the Pittsburgh set, but I think up there in that light it looks absolutely stunning.

Movie looks badass but.... a terrible catwoman and a terrible suit, no news of a new batsuit, no look at the batcave, and ANOTHER clunky as mode of transportation that I'm suppose to believe will be able to fly. Nolan, I believe in you and I dig that your trying to be realistic and all...BUT WAT THE FYUCK MAN!!!!!

That looks more like something Batman should use under water. It looks like something from the movie Abyss.

I think this "thing" looks awesome, I'm glad its not a plane but more of a hovercraft or something like it. It really follows the trend of the movie. To me everything, meaning all the vehicles in Nolan's Batman series up to now have been really looked clunky but in a weird way hyper-realistic instead looking instead of looking pristine and more comic book like. It really does remind me of something that the army might build or try and build in the future.

There just better not be another peeping tom scene like in "Blue Thunder" or in "Superman Returns".
