"A maquette of the Flying Graysons circus set from Batman Live"

-There will be acrobatics, pyrotechnics, stuntmen, supervillains and screeching Batmobiles on a 100ft-wide, 60ft-deep performance area.

-Behind them, a giant video wall will flash panels from comic strips and special effects, and give the appearance of interacting with the live performers on stage.

-The show will be 85 minutes long.

-The show will open with the trapeze show at which Robin’s parents, circus act The Flying Graysons, are killed.

-Batman Live will motor through a rapid sequence of scenes, none of them clocking in at much over two minutes, so as to keep the momentum up.

-There will be an onstage disaster with a hot-air balloon and a Joker face whose eyes, teeth and hair are made up of dozens of dancers.

DEAR GREEDY STAGE PRODUCERS,
PLEASE DON'T DO THIS TO MY HERO! THE JOKER BALLOON SAYS IT ALL. THIS IS SCHUMACHERVERSE, NOT NOLANVERSE

A Happy New Year to you LEEE777 and lets hope SuperKal can finally stop being a total douche.

Anyway this could be alright even tho Robin is in it but it couldn't be any worse than the Spider-Man Musical.

I actually can't wait for this. As soon as I heard about this I thought about those live action Batman Shows they used to put on at six flags, I LOVED those things as a kid. I don't know If they still put them on, but I got season tickets for sixflags this year so I really hope they still do >:D

@fenlion....serious dude, Nolan doesn't own BATMAN...he just made him very realistic.....Its based off the comics...DUH!!!!.... I have some hopes for this, seems to have a better chance than Spider-man: Turn off the Curse

@Fenlion yeah man - try picking up some source material to know that Batman existed before movies about Batman. This looks freaking sweet.

So excited for this. My girlfriend and I have seats in the section right next to the stage called "Gotham City Seating"

And Jim Lee's probably my favourite Batman artist, bring it onnnn!

This looks awesome. It's more stunt oriented and less musical. For anyone to accuse dc of copying marvel obviously has no idea about the differences between these two products. One is a broadway musical and the other is basically a traveling stunt show. Marvel sucks dc's ass on this one.

I've been putting off buying tickets for this until they released more details and pictures, but this might just be enough to convince me as it looks bloody excellent! It looks and sounds very ambitious, and unlike a certain disasterous musical, seems to be pretty faithful to the comic books. Screw it, I'm going to go and look at the prices for this show now. :)

to Spectre and comicCritic87: I meant no disrespect. my office is plastered with Batman memorabilia and comics from every generation. I respect them all, from Bob Kane to Neil Adams to Alex Ross. But this interpretation of Batman has never worked with the public. It's not the Batman Bob Kane envisioned. What Nolan and to a lesser extent Burton did, is what Bob Kane envisioned in 1939. This is a cash grab pure and simple

I have already booked up to see this in London at the O2 in August. Who cares if it is not in the true spirit of the character or falls short in some areas, I am optimistic that it will be great entertainment.

Did anybody see the episode of Batman Beyond where they had a Batman musical? It was hysterical.

i can tell the second picture is suppose to be in the Batcave.

i used to be in one of those Batman shows at Six Flags as one of Joker's henchmen. it was fun and exhausting everyday. as far as i know, they've stopped doing the Batman Thrill Spectaculars at all SF's. they turned our's into an a concert area

I think too many people are down on stage/musical versions of superheroes. I'm not in any way trying to sound unsympathetic for actors hurt on the Spiderman musical. It's just that with all the movies made out of comics I think so many of us have already sold out.
I don't think there has been a perfect comicbook movie yet. (IMO) I'm talking about a movie so good you would be happy throwing out all your comics and replacing it with just that DVD, I don't hate the Nolan movies, but I do think they are trying to be too realistic with comicbooks. I dont want "camp" ,but I do want some fun!! So what if there are dancers. It is the stage!
Someone hates the baloon? I'm sorry, but in the comics, thats EXACTLY what joker would use for his smile-x gas!
(just like in the 1989 movie)

I'm just waiting to see Batman's tap number. It's kind of like a Broadway version of the Brave and Bold episode with the Music Meister.
