NIGHTWING Director Teases Impending Casting Announcement And Possible Shooting Location

In the past, Nightwing director Chris McKay has promised a badass action movie which is light on CGI, a deep dive into Dick Grayson's origin story, and action unlike anything that's ever been seen in a superhero movie before. Well, as you can see in the Tweets below, The LEGO Batman Movie helmer has revealed that we should probably start hearing some concrete details about casting in February.

McKay also seemed to hint at the possibility of Nightwing shooting in Detroit, the same city Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice used as a substitute for Gotham City (chances are it would double as Bludhaven this time around, though). Warner Bros. has yet to officially announce this movie but it appears as if that could be about to change if the director's comments here are any sort of indication.

It was only recently that the studio revealed who will play the Dick Grayson version of Robin in the upcoming Titans TV series, so chances are they'll want to put some distance between that announcement and this one. Who would you like to see take on the role? Sound off down below.

So this is happening? Because as of yesterday we were all pretty sure they scrapped it.

So is Nightwing Prequel to BVS or just another stand alone Batman spin off movie?

Is this their Deadpool? The super small budget (for a superhero movie) type of film. Will it seriously not have an appearance by Batman?

Bring it!!! And I hope it is connected to the DCEU. WB just needs to bring out better projects and stop meddling so they win back people’s trust.

If the DCEU can't match the MCU then they will saturate the market with bad films until the entire genre collapses.
