That's right! Batman has found himself stranded on Isla Nublar, the former home of Jurassic Park! How did he get here? That question will have to wait. There's a much more urgent matter to attend to. He's been sniffed out by a T-Rex!
WHO: Batman and Jurassic Park's T-Rex
WHERE: Jungle of Isla Nublar
WHEN: Nighttime
AUTHOR'S THOUGHTS:
I often find myself daydreaming about crossovers like this. To see a showdown between these two would be legendary. Believe it or not, I think it'd be a close fight. This isn't someone Batman can just knock unconscious and throw in jail. And the T-Rex can't just expect to chomp down on Batman's head so easily.
Batman will need to make every hit count. He can't get too close or he'll risk being eaten, stepped on, slapped with a T-Rex tail, or any combination of the three. He'll have to hit targets that will critically injure the animal, so Batarangs will be flying in the direction of major blood vessels. Something Batman should take note of is the dinosaur's balance. If she falls, it'll be difficult for her to get back up. The main purpose of tails on dinosaurs is to help them stay upright. If Batman has a handy Bat-knife to slice through the T-Rex's tail, he can easily throw her off balance and cause her to tip over. Even if he doesn't have that tool at the time, he can continuously jump and dash around the dinosaur to make her dizzy. The confusion will make her unsteady.
Batman can also use the dinosaur's agression against her. His skillful dodging and theatricality will irritate her simple mind to no end. She'll be violent, but careless. If there are any live electrical fences left around the park, he can trick her into running into one. The same idea applies to convince her to run off a cliff.
For the dinosaur, close quarters combat will be key. Without any ranged attacks or toys, she'll have to beat him with raw power. If Batman's going for her tail, he'll be right where she wants him. When Batman comes close, the T-Rex can use her tremendous strength to send him flying. A simple flick of the tail can fling him back to the mainland. If she doesn't want to risk losing her tail, there are other options. While Batman does all of his fancy tumbles and cartwheels, she can end the fight easily with one foot to his face (or anywhere, really). The sheer weight of the dinosaur will crush every bone in the ordinary man's body. And of course, there's the classic T-Rex chomp. We've seen her catch a speeding Gallimimus in her jaws, so she could easily do the same to Batman. She's been known to run at speeds of 32 miles per hour, and he is (without his Batmobile, Batwing, Batboat, Batcopter, Batsubway, Batsegway, Batgriffin, or anything of that nature) far slower than that.
AUTHOR'S VERDICT: T-Rex. While she has an obvious weakness, her strength and speed are just too overwhelming for Batman. My guess is she'll catch him in her jaws and snap his back.
